Gainesville, Fla. – January 4, 2022 – Colliers’ GNV Commercial Advisory Team has successfully represented Exactech, Inc., the seller, in the sale of the 8,360± SF office building located at 2405 NW 66th Court in Gainesville, Florida to Interdisciplinary Consulting Corporation, the buyer. The buyer was represented by Avison Young-Florida in Gainesville. The transaction closed on December 17, 2021.

This free-standing, 8,360± SF office building was built in 1992 and renovated in 2013. The building is located in Northwood Commercial Park in northwest Gainesville. This building sits on 1.17± acres and serves as the new home of IC2. The company, headquartered in Gainesville, was created in 2001 initially to provide a commercialization path for UF-generated intellectual property (Interdisciplinary Microsystems Group @ UF) — specifically in the areas of MEMS-based instrumentation, flow control, acoustics and smart materials. IC2 has since solidified its focus around a core mission of developing precision sensors to advance the measurement of aerodynamic and aeroacoustic quantities.

“It was a pleasure to work with Exactech representatives in the presentation and sale of the building. The building presented well since Exactech had invested much into the renovations of the space to meet their needs. When the building became surplus to Exactech, it was placed on the market to offer the building’s benefits to others. We are grateful for the co-broker relationship with Avison Young’s Rick Cain, who worked with IC2 to find a space that met their growing and expanding needs.”
- Rory Causseaux, Associate Director, Colliers
