An international building products firm has snapped up a huge block of industrial space north of Fort Worth.

Schluter Systems will put a 500,000-square-foot distribution hub in the AllianceTexas project. The new shipping center will service the central and southeastern U.S. with the company's tile and stonework products.

Schluter Systems' new hub is in the Alliance Northport 1 building on Interstate 35W near State Highway 114 in Northlake. The company leased all of the new project and plans to open its facility in the first quarter of 2020.

About 300 people - mostly new hires - will work in the North Fort Worth location.

Tom Pearson and Chris Teesdale of Colliers International negotiated the lease with Hillwood.
