DFW's first-ever sustainable warehouse construction underway

Dallas, TX –Seefried Properties unveiled the construction of a first-of-its-kind industrial project in Dallas-Fort Worth focused on sustainability. The warehouse will contain 161,000 SF of space situated on 8.57 acres located in Southfield Park 35, a 157-acre development just south of I-20 off Danieldale Road and Old Hickory Road in Dallas. Chris Teesdale and Tom Pearson of Colliers marketed the development.

The building is located at 9039 Old Hickory Trail, Dallas, TX. The industrial park is conveniently located in southern Dallas County less than one mile south of I-20, two miles west of I-35, 2.5 miles east of SH-67 and near numerous restaurants, quality and affordable housing and abundant labor. Southfield Park 35 is owned by USAA Real Estate and being developed by Seefried.

“Southfield Park 35 demonstrates the passion our DFW market has for garnering innovative, sustainable growth for industrial properties,” said Pearson, executive vice president at Colliers. “Being part of a groundbreaking project focused strictly on using eco-friendly lumber and materials is monumental in our market with promising room for further growth,” said Teesdale, executive vice president at Colliers.

The development represents the next generation of high-performance wood building technology, known as compressed laminate timber (CLT) accompanied by MEGASLAB systems for exceptional floor strength and durability.

“We are excited to work alongside Colliers to spread awareness about a property that is truly unique in nature,” said Jonathan Stites, Texas region’s senior vice president at Seefried Properties. “Construction utilizing MEGASLAB systems and CLT ensures structural integrity, workplace wellbeing and the reduction of greenhouse gasses.”
