Colliers | South Carolina enhances service offerings with addition of valuation and mortgage experts

Charleston, Columbia, Greenville and Spartanburg, SC – Colliers | South Carolina is pleased to announce the addition of valuation and mortgage services to its commercial real estate platform with the addition of a roster of experts who are now located in the South Carolina offices.

Curt McCall, CRE, MAI has returned to Colliers as an Executive Managing Director leading its Carolinas region valuation business known as CIVAS, Colliers International Valuation Advisory Services, from the firm’s Charleston office. McCall is joined in Charleston by fellow appraisers John Colleary, MAI and Tyler Owens as well as Kit McIntyre who is located in Colliers’ Columbia office. Collectively, they provide appraisal and consulting support to Colliers’ clients across the commercial real estate markets in South Carolina.

McCall received his Master of Arts in Real Estate Valuation and Urban Land Economics from the University of Florida and has been a commercial real estate appraiser & Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) since 1988. His clients include most major banks, commercial mortgage-backed securities lenders and government agencies.

Colleary is a Senior Valuation Specialist in the Colliers | Charleston office and has been involved in the commercial real estate industry since 2007. He obtained his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2017. Colleary has experience with a variety of property types, including retail, office, industrial, land, multifamily, hospitality and special-use assets. Colleary is a graduate of Five Towns College in New York where he received a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Owens joined Colliers' Valuation & Advisory Services division in the Charleston office as a Valuation Associate in 2021. He has provided appraisal and consulting support throughout South Carolina since 2018 on various property types including industrial, office, retail, self-storage, various specialty properties and land sites. Owens graduated from the College of Charleston with a finance degree in 2018.

McIntyre is a Valuation Services Director located in the Columbia office. She is a graduate of Washington and Lee University and received her MAI designation in 2012. Prior to entering the appraisal field in 2002, she held accounting and finance roles in commercial real estate and construction. She was most recently the President of Marshall Dodds Company, Inc. and has experience with a variety of property types, including retail, office, industrial, tax credit and conventional multifamily projects, mixed-use developments, subdivisions, hospitality, self-storage, vacant land and other general commercial properties. McIntyre has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Appraisal Institute - South Carolina Chapter and CREW Midlands.

Adam Bergman, an experienced mortgage broker, joined Colliers Mortgage’s national organization as Assistant Vice President in 2020 and has established a new presence for this service line with Colliers in South Carolina. Bergman’s responsibilities include structuring financial transactions at various stages of the commercial real estate deal cycle for clients. Bergman graduated from North Dakota State University with an accounting degree in 2011.

John Colleary is a Senior Valuation Specialist within the Southeast Region of Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services division. Mr. Colleary has been involved in the commercial real estate industry since 2007, beginning his career in the New York metropolitan area as an appraiser and sales agent.   Mr. Colleary obtained his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2017.  John has experience in nearly all property types including retail, office, industrial, land, multi-family, hospitality and special use assets. John has competed a wide variety of assignments for a multitude of organizations and institutions including savings & loan, banks, mortgage companies, developers, investors, municipalities, universities and attorneys.

Tyler Owens

Valuation Associate

Tyler Owens is a valuation associate within the Southeast Region of Colliers' Valuation & Advisory Services Division. Mr. Owens joined Colliers in 2021 and has experience providing appraisal and consulting support throughout the State of South Carolina since 2018. He has performed appraisal support services on various property types including but not limited to industrial, office, retail, self storage, various specialty properties, and land sites. Mr. Owens is registered with the State of South Carolina Appraisal Board. Tyler Owens is presently working under Curt McCall CRE, MAI. Mr. McCall is an Executive Managing Director within Valuation & Advisory Services. Mr. McCall has been active in commercial real estate valuation since 1988.

Previously, Mr. Owens worked with CBRE's Valuation and Advisory Team in Charleston, South Carolina.
