Colliers International South Carolina announces brokerage professional promotions

Columbia / Greenville / Charleston / Spartanburg – Colliers International | South Carolina is pleased to announce that four brokerage associates have received promotions: Allen Wilkerson has been promoted to Vice President, and Taylor Allen, CCIM, Scott Burgess, MBA and Lance Byars, MRED have been promoted to Senior Brokerage Associates.

Folsom, President and CEO of Colliers | South Carolina. “Furthermore, they have distinguished themselves as leading commercial real estate brokers in South Carolina. We are proud to honor them and recognize their achievement with these promotions.”

Wilkerson is an office specialist in the Columbia market, specializing in corporate consulting services, leasing and acquisitions. He was named a member of the Central Carolina REALTORS® Association (CCRA) Circle of Excellence and a CoStar Power Broker in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. Wilkerson currently serves as the Immediate Past Chairman of the Public Policy Group and Legislative Committee and on the Political Candidate Screening Committee for the South Carolina REALTORS® Association (SCR). He is a member of the Board of Directors for CCRA, the City Center Partnership (CCP) Long Range Planning Committee, the Home Works of America Board of Directors, the Columbia Advisory Board and the Heathwood Hall Episcopal School Alumni Council. He is an alumnus of Wofford College and a 2017 graduate in Leadership Columbia’s 44th class. 

Allen is an office specialist in the Greenville-Spartanburg market, working with landlords, purchasers and tenants in the leasing, acquisition and disposition of office space. He was named a Top Producer for Colliers | South Carolina in 2016, 2017 and 2019 and was a CoStar Power Broker for both office leasing and sales transactions for 2016, 2017 and 2018. In 2019, he obtained the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation. Allen currently serves on the leadership team for Greenville’s Clemson Young Alumni chapter and is a 2019 graduate in Leadership Greenville’s 45th class. He is an alumnus of Clemson University.

Burgess is a member of the Retail Services Team in the Greenville-Spartanburg market and specializes in retail brokerage, which includes the representation of owners, buyers and tenants in the purchasing and leasing of retail space. He was recognized as a CoStar Power Broker in 2017 and 2018. He is a founding board member of The Salvation Army of Greenville Echelon chapter, which is charged with engaging young professionals with the mission of The Salvation Army. Burgess graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Clemson University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wake Forest University.

Byars is also a member of the Retail Services Team in the Greenville-Spartanburg market and specializes in retail brokerage. He was recognized as a CoStar Power Broker in 2017 and 2018. Byars graduated from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Science degree and from Clemson University with a Master of Real Estate Development degree. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree from New York University in Manhattan. He serves on the Board of Advisors for The Salvation Army of Greenville, Oconee and Pickens Counties as well as the Clemson University Real Estate Association Board.

I am a member of the Retail Services Group, a select group of Colliers Brokerage Associates focused on retail brokerage. I have extensive experience with commercial real estate, specifically in retail leasing and offer development representation for clients and strong leasing support in the retail market. I bring experience, knowledge and a fresh look to retail brokerage that generate positive results for my clients.

The most rewarding part of my job is walking down the street and seeing a retail space that I helped a business get into.
