Colliers International | South Carolina announces 2019 Rising Star Award recipients


Columbia / Spartanburg, SC – Colliers International | South Carolina is pleased to announce our 2019 Rising Star Awards which were presented at the company’s annual Awards Celebration on January 28, 2020. The Rising Star Award recognizes staff members who have less than three years’ experience at Colliers, perform in an exemplary manner, demonstrate a desire to attain or are pursuing a professional designation, are active in industry groups and/or civic groups in the community and live the Colliers core values of service, expertise, community, fun, integrity and collaboration.

The Colliers staff members recognized as Rising Stars were, in alphabetical order:

  • Melissa Brewington, Property Accountant, Columbia 
  • Rick Dunbar, Maintenance Technician, Columbia 
  • Ashley Fenlon, Marketing Coordinator, Spartanburg 
  • Adam Lynch, CCP, Preconstruction Services Manager - LCK, Columbia

“As a mobile maintenance technician, Rick Dunbar serves as an important member of our Real Estate Management Services (REMS) team. Rick is on the front line serving our tenants every day and represents us as a true professional. Our tenants are greeted with his infectious smile and keen desire to serve,” said Debbie Lane, Senior Vice President of REMS for Colliers International | South Carolina. “His strong technical skills enable him to quickly assess and correct property issues, resulting in a high degree of tenant and owner satisfaction. These technical skills, coupled with his pleasant interaction with the tenants, are what set Rick apart.” 

“Ashley Fenlon came to Colliers a year and a half ago with an impressive marketing background but no commercial real estate experience. She proved to be a quick study and swiftly improved the production and efficiency of the Spartanburg office. She has also been a source of best-in-class marketing contributions statewide,” said David Feild, Market President of Colliers in Greenville-Spartanburg. “Ashley is extremely valued as a partner and teammate among the Colliers team and clients with whom she works.”

I am responsible for providing detailed financial reporting for commercial real estate holdings managed by Colliers  | South Carolina. I also consult with property owners and investors on accounting matters to assist them in realizing the maximum value of their investments. 

My love of accounting comes from a natural detail-oriented and customer service mindset. Details are so critical in this line of work, and my self-motivation and attention to detail serve me and my clients well. With more than 12 years’ experience creating strategic campaigns targeted to a wide range of customers and industries, I am skilled at overseeing and implementing the delivery of information to stakeholders at key points throughout the decision-making process. 

My goal is to foster meaningful relationships and collaboration with our partners and clients while delivering best-in-class marketing solutions. I specialize in email marketing campaigns, social media management, website project management, research and reporting, graphic design, copywriting, search engine optimization, print and digital advertising and media relations.

Adam Lynch

Director | Preconstruction Services


As a Director of Preconstruction Services, my efforts at LCK are focused on the front-end phases of project management.  My expertise in due diligence, site analysis, budgeting and cost management is leveraged to accelerate the planning, design and procurement stages of our projects.  

I have the ability to prepare comprehensive development budgets and line-item estimates with a high degree of accuracy at all design phases of a project, which means that our clients can plan their projects with confidence from the beginning and rely on us to monitor the project and program budgets throughout all design iterations.

I have provided cost management services both as an owner’s project manager and independent cost consultant, giving me a unique perspective that serves as a value add to LCK clients.  I take pride in focusing on accuracy and detail-orientation while leading teams through the design and procurement process.  Nothing pleases me more than working closely with clients and seeing their vision become reality.
