Columbia, SC – Colliers International | South Carolina and its project management partner, LCK, annually award and recognize specialists and support professionals who exceed expectations within the company and the communities in which we work and live. At this year’s annual awards celebration, the successes of several outstanding staff members and teams were announced, including:
- President’s Award to Neel Keenan for his 44-year career focused on relationships with clients, collaborations with his fellow brokerage specialists and for encouraging a positive environment among team members
- Rising Star Award to Thomas Beard for his early successes as a Brokerage Associate working with the industrial team in Columbia
- Community Service Award to Gretchen Murdock for her leadership on office-wide community service initiatives
- Management Services Award to Adam Lynch for his superior commitment as Preconstruction Services Manager to bring a value-added service to LCK’s project management clients

For more than three decades, the President’s Award has recognized one member of the Colliers | South Carolina or LCK staffs who has excelled in their role with the company and made a meaningful impact on others within the organization. Keenan has been with Colliers | South Carolina since 1975, joining the commercial real estate company after graduating from Wofford College. Both his grandfather and father – whose legacy and name lives on in the company’s award for the top-producing brokerage professional across the state – worked in commercial real estate with Colliers International. Keenan specializes in investment sales and single-net lease clients.
The Rising Star Award recognizes a Colliers | South Carolina brokerage associate with less than three years’ experience in commercial real estate who has demonstrated significant success in sales and leasing transactions, is pursuing a professional designation, is active in industry and civic groups in the community, and demonstrates their comment to Colliers’ core values. Beard, a University of South Carolina graduate, is a Brokerage Associate in Columbia, specializing in the leasing and sales of industrial properties. He is part of a team responsible for representing many major industrial properties in the region. As part of this industrial team, Beard has collaborated on lease and sale transactions totaling approximately 4.7 million square feet of space and valued at over $62 million. He is a candidate for his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, a prestigious designation in commercial real estate that represents proven expertise in financial, market and investment analysis.
The Community Service Award, which promotes one of Colliers’ and LCK’s core values, is an important recognition of a staff member who has given of their time, resources and energy to worthy causes in their local community or statewide. Gretchen Murdock, a Brokerage Assistant in the Greenville office, was selected as this year’s winner for her leadership in Greenville’s community involvement initiatives. Every year, she takes on all roles and responsibilities for initiatives such as the office’s annual United Way campaign and the holiday season’s Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family with no expectation of personal recognition. In the community at large, she is also involved with the Holy Cross Episcopal Church, especially their fundraising effort, the Holy Cross Pumpkin Patch. She is also active with the Greenville Literacy Association through their annual Really Big, Really Good, Really Cheap book sale.
The Management Services Award recognizes an individual member of the staff who demonstrates expertise and professionalism in real estate management or project management. This year’s winner, Adam Lynch, was responsible for delivering LCK’s preconstruction services through his keen attention to detail and cost estimating expertise. Preconstruction Services, a service that covers estimating, cost management and value analysis, focuses on the feasibility study and design phases of project management. Thanks to Lynch’s efforts, LCK’s clients benefit from an accelerated planning and design phase to their projects, ensuring that they can rely on cost and budget monitoring from the very start of their project.
