Colliers brokers the sale of 648 acres of land along Lake Marion

Santee Homes is planning a 1,000-home lakefront development, McCord’s Ferry at Lake Marion

Columbia, SC – Tripp Bradley and Ryan McCue of Colliers | South Carolina brokered the sale of a 648-acre tract of land fronting Lake Marion in Elloree, SC for $6,200,000. Colliers represented the seller, M.U.C.H., LLC, and Linda Greenberg Realty represented the buyer. 

The property will be developed into McCord’s Ferry at Lake Marion, a 1,000-home lake community by Santee Homes. The first homes will be available for purchase by August 2021.

“We were able to explore two extremes in our approach to marketing the property as the tract had merit as a conservation opportunity as well as a development opportunity given its physical attributes,” said McCue. “With having almost a mile of lake frontage, utilities, proximity to I-95 and I-26, and the willingness of Calhoun and Orangeburg Counties to rezone the property, we were ultimately able to identify a qualified buyer. Using our extensive marketing platform which provided maximum exposure to the market, we had quite a bit of interest from regional developers, but we were pleased to see a South Carolina developer purchase the property.”
