Colliers | Charlotte to handle leasing and marketing

Charlotte, NC – Williams Development Group (WDG) announces that it will soon break ground on a speculative industrial park in Iredell County, NC named Statesville Commerce Center.

Colliers | Charlotte brokers Grant Miller, SIOR, Rob Speir, SIOR and Justin Smith, SIOR have been hired by WDG for brokerage and marketing services to bring distribution or manufacturing users to the development.

Statesville Commerce Center is a state-of-the-art industrial park offering superior access to Interstates 77, 40 and 85. The park will consist of two Class A buildings. Building 1 will consist of 370,136 square feet, 36-foot clear heights, 72 dock-high doors and 145 trailer spaces. Building 2 will consist of 263,701 square feet, 32-foot clear heights, 33 dock-high doors and 73 trailer spaces. Both buildings will feature an ESFR fire suppression system and LED lighting. Delivery of Building 2 is estimated to be in 2023.

“The Colliers team is excited to be working with Williams Development Group on this project,” Miller says. “WDG has established a proven track record in the Triad market and the Statesville project is a natural progression as they grow their footprint. Given the lack of industrial product within the market and scarcity of available sites along the interstate corridors, we feel the I-77 North/Iredell submarket is poised for tremendous growth within the industrial real estate sector.”

WDG and Colliers | Charlotte are collaborating on this project with Merriman-Schmitt Architects, Inc., Oak Engineering and Landmark Builders, all of which are Carolina-based companies with a strong histroy of delivering expertise in industrial development.

Statesville Commerce Center is WDG’s fifth development in North Carolina after projects in Greensboro, Whitsett, Winston-Salem and High Point.

"Williams Development Group is proud to announce a new center in the Statesville, NC market,” says Taylor Williams, Managing Member of WDG. “The location, accessibility and unprecedented proximity to three major highway systems is an absolute differentiator in a market that has grown exponentially in recent years. This area has the workforce and infrastructure to support a multitude of user requirements, and the buildings are designed to fit a variety of needs between manufacturing, light assembly and distribution.  We have assembled a fantastic development team for this project with Oak Engineering, Merriman Schmitt Architects and Landmark Builders and are excited to build on our recent successes in the Triad with these two future Class A warehouse facilities."

Williams Development Group is a privately held multi-division real estate development company based in Winston-Salem, NC. WDG has a proven track record of creating consistent long-term value for its clients and customers. The development group maintains and operates an expanding portfolio of stabilized assets throughout the mid-Atlantic with concentrations in industrial warehousing, single-tenant office and single-family residential sectors.
