Mitsubishi Materials USA Opens New Machining Technology & Education Center

Mooresville, North Carolina - Mitsubishi Materials USA is pleased to announce that it will open a new Machining Technology and Education Center at 105 Corporate Center Drive, Mooresville, NC. The new office, training and warehouse facility – consisting of approximately 30,000 sq. ft. – will be opening in May 2018.


Mitsubishi Materials is an industry leading manufacturer of cutting tools & solutions for the manufacturing industry. Mike Pace, Executive Director, Marketing, Engineering and New Business Development for Cutting Tools says, "This location was strategically chosen for several reasons. The Charlotte, NC area continues to draw companies to the region and the town of Mooresville is conveniently located to Charlotte as well as close to our customer base, channel partners, many of our strategic partners that are machine tools manufacturers as well as other key supporting business partners and technologies."


The Machining Technology and Education Center (MTEC N.C.) will be equipped with a team of highly experienced technical staff and advanced CNC equipment to train customers, distributors and provide tooling and machining solutions for manufacturing customers. Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A. continues to grow their presence in the US and Canadian markets through expansion in resources, technology and solutions to fit customers’ growing needs in industries such as medical, aerospace, oil & gas, automotive and general engineering. This location will also be the new home to Mitsubishi Materials U.S.A.’s Engineered Carbide Products (ECP) Division’s North American sales office and east coast distribution center. This division encompasses the Rock Drilling Tools Group and the Hard Materials Group which are relocating from Statesville, NC.
