PRI Office and Warehouse Design & Build-out
Colliers represented PRI, the building owner of a new 1.1M SF industrial building leased to Amazon. The client’s goals were to design and construct a 3,000 SF, full-service, office space and warehouse to create a welcoming environment while increasing functionality for Amazon’s employees. This included all interior trades, 20 dock pit levelers and bumpers, 650 new LED light fixtures and the civil development of an expansion truck parking lot.
Having two distinct areas of focus and a tight deadline, this multi-faceted project required excellent time management and prioritization skills. PRI needed assistance coordinating all aspects of the construction project to ensure the timeline for completion remained on schedule before occupancy.
To help them address this challenge, PRI partnered with Colliers’ Construction Management and Project Management teams to determine ways in which execution and on-time completion could be accomplished. With the guidance and expertise provided by Colliers, PRI was able to quickly determine a plan of action to ensure their project remained on-time and within budget.
Colliers oversaw and successfully completed various construction projects for PRI, totaling over $10 million USD. By deciding to permit the office and warehouse separately, this allowed for quicker office access and early procurement of the warehouse lighting and dock pit levelers. As a result of Colliers’ well-thought-out approach, the office project was completed two weeks ahead of schedule and the warehouse completion was enhanced by three weeks.
