Allison Bittel Named a 2022 Atlanta Business Chronicle Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Awards Winner

ATLANTA November 11, 2022 – Colliers is pleased to announce that Senior Vice President and Principal Allison Bittel has earned the coveted title of Board Champion for Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 5th annual Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) Awards program. Launched in 2018, the DE&I Awards recognize leaders and organizations in metro Atlanta who are advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace to promote the acceptance of all people.

As a Board Champion, Allison not only uses her position to drive diversity initiatives at Colliers, but she also does so across the entire commercial real estate industry and throughout Atlanta.

“In 2011, I was asked to share my story with fellow members of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors (ACBR), where I spoke of my early days in real estate as one of a few women in a male dominated industry,” said Bittel. “This was the beginning of my quest to help others find a path in the corporate real estate business and make a bigger impact in my hometown of Atlanta.”

During her 10 years of service at ACBR, Allison created the framework for its diversity mentorship program, which helps women and members of diverse groups build fundamental skills in the commercial real estate industry. Since its inception, ACBR’s diversity mentorship program has graduated more than 100 diverse candidates from its 12-month program. Its curriculum is comprised of one-on-one sessions, signature events and personalized classes hosted by the organization.

In 2020, Allison also founded The Women’s Collective (TWC), an Atlanta-based 501(c)(6) organization comprised of c-suite and senior level women leaders who strive to support, mentor and influence change for women in the workplace. Together, Allison and fellow TWC members recently launched the organization’s “Leaders on the Rise” mentorship program helping to inspire and guide women to grow both personally and professionally.

“Since joining Colliers in 2019, Allison has been at the forefront of change, guiding our office to foster a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture,” said Nathan Knowles, executive managing director and market leader at Colliers in Atlanta. “As we look to hire new talent, we are grateful to have mentors like Allison who are deeply committed to supporting and empowering all employees to reach their full potential in their careers and future endeavors.”
