Professional Summary
Tyler has a passion for data-driven decision making and place-based economic development that brought him to the Colliers Site Selection team. Using geospatial technology and the proven proprietary site selection optimization model, Indsite®, Tyler provides in-depth analysis on industrial site locations to highlight best fits and deliver reports that examine possibilities from all angles. He is highly involved in keeping the data that is the foundation of Indsite® accurate and up to date and is constantly looking for opportunities to add to the methodology as new data sets become available and industry trends are identified.
Prior to joining the team Tyler earned more than five years of experience in the place management industry, doing economic development and research for downtowns and urban places. Through his work at the Downtown Raleigh Alliance and the International Downtown Association Tyler has created, maintained, and deployed numerous databases and authored dozens of reports on the value and significance of downtowns within their citywide and regional contexts. In both roles he was tasked with analyzing the performance of urban places against a peer set to understand strengths and weaknesses relative to national competitors for talent and investment. This experience, while urban oriented, cultivated a talent for comparative analysis that has found the perfect home in the industrial site selection and analysis space.
