Professional Summary
I provide development consulting services to various clients in the area of affordable housing and community development throughout Michigan. In this capacity I work with clients to secure financing using Housing Tax Credits, Historic Tax Credits, Tax-Exempt Bond financing, various federal financing programs, Federal Home Loan Bank sources, and various state programs. As a consultant I work with the various members of the development team to bring the development to fruition including negotiations with equity investors, lenders, and state and local officials.
Accomplishments
As an Underwriter at a regional Housing Tax Credit investor for 7 years, I underwrote the investment of $200 million of equity in a wide range of affordable housing developments including the redevelopment of public housing developments, new construction, rural housing, special needs housing, and acquisition and rehabilitation of Section 8 properties all over the Midwest. As a Senior Analyst I reviewed potential investments for the Fund, annually reviewing over $100 million of equity investment, and provided technical expertise to both internal and external stakeholders. I also spent four years as a development consultant in Pennsylvania and successfully secured several reservations of Housing Tax Credits for a variety of clients. I also authored numerous successful applications for Federal Home Loan Bank financing for affordable housing and closed several housing developments using HUD financing and tax-exempt bonds. Further, I prepared several housing feasibility studies for various clients.
