AREA OF EXPERTISE
Mr. Rotante joined the firm in 2006 when it operated as GVA Williams. With over 35 years of real estate industry experience, Mr. Rotante has developed an in-depth knowledge of the office markets throughout Manhattan and the Northeast as well as national and international markets. Mr. Rotante is a hands-on, day-to-day manager of his clients’ requirements. He not only leads a team of real estate professionals internally, but coordinates and builds project teams for his clients from the ground up, integrating and overseeing all disciplines necessary for each assignment through completion of the project. In addition, he has authored numerous articles on the New York City marketplace for national and local real estate publications. Mr. Rotante is the head of the Tri-State region law firm practice group.
Many of Mr. Rotante’s clients are long term relationships, representing them over multiple transactions: Perkins Eastman Architects, P.C. in an expansion and renewal at their location for 80,000 square feet and an acquisition and disposition of a satellite office. He has also represented Oxygen Media since its inception in 1998 through multiple acquisitions, dispositions and lease terminations, totaling over 150,000 square feet. He has continued to represent Oxygen subsequent to its acquisition by NBC Universal with its renewal of 70,000 square feet at Chelsea Market.
Over the last 25 years, Mr. Rotante has represented the law firm of Richards Kibbe & Orbe in over 15 transactions, 8 of which were at 1 World Financial Center totaling approximately 200,000 square feet. In representing Holland & Knight for 118,000 square feet, including a recent expansion, the firm was able to take advantage of market conditions and negotiated a long-term, below market deal on law firm built space with significant growth options.
