Steven Tick

Steven Tick has more than 32 years of industry experience, having completed over 1,000 transactions during his accomplished career. He specializes in industrial brokerage, redevelopment and build-to-suit for both local and national clients.

Amongst his many long-term clients, Steven has worked with TKG StorageMart Partners for more than a decade. Steven brings special expertise to this valued client, as he excels in identifying industrial properties with retail components and upgrading them to meet StorageMart’s needs. He worked alongside StorageMart to create a “superstore” concept that couples self-storage with climate-controlled warehouse space. Steven has been vital to the market presence of StorageMart in the Chicagoland area, providing them with both national and international representation in Minneapolis, Las Vegas, Boston, Detroit, Washington, DC and Great Britain.

Steven’s many successful projects reveal the creative side of his expertise, where his ability to “think outside the box” produces superior results for his clients.  Among these projects, Steven has provided advisory services for:

• Menards in the conversion of an inner-city manufacturing campus to a 26-acre retail development
• Johnstone Supply in the location of a new Midwest distribution facility, resulting in a long-term lease on a 236,000-square-foot facility strategically located in Joliet, Illinois
• New Breed Logistics in the leasing of over 800,000 square feet in the Chicago market
• Ownership in the leasing of 281,462 square feet to Cross Roads Center in Decatur, Illinois

Steven was awarded the CoStar Power Broker 2012 Top Broker Award.

Steven serves as the vice hair of the Real Estate Committee at the Jewish United Fund of Chicago. He is also a board member at North Shore Congregation Israel. He is also involved with Habitat for Humanity and Feed the Homeless.
