Professional Summary
Ryan Korth is a Senior Valuation Services Director in our Detroit office, focusing on real estate valuation and advisory services. His experience involves real estate valuations in over 40 states, as well as international locations such as Europe, Asia, and Mexico. Ryan has appraised all types of commercial and special use properties. He has significant specialized experience in the valuation of healthcare related properties including skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, independent living facilities, continuing care retirement communities (CCRC's), hospitals, surgery centers, and medical office buildings. Among the numerous healthcare related assignments, many have involved the determination of Fair Market Rent for Stark Compliance purposes. Additionally, Ryan has significant experience in the valuation of hospitality properties, and is a part of the hospitality team at Colliers, appraising hotels across the Midwest. Ryan has also been qualified as an expert witness and has testified in federal bankruptcy court in Wisconsin, and before the Illinois Property Tax Appeal Board.
Accomplishments
Ryan was chosen to represent the Chicago Chapter and the Great Lakes Chapter at the Appraisal Institute’s Leadership Development and Advisory Council (LDAC) in Washington D.C. Further, Ryan is currently serving as the 2021 President of the Great Lakes Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Ryan has previously served as a Region III representative for the Appraisal Institute.
