Executive Vice President
Robert Goodman is an Executive Managing Director in Colliers International’s New York office. He specializes in tenant representation with a focus in the financial services, insurance/reinsurance, banking and brokerage sectors. His knowledge and insight have been featured in articles in The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times. He joined predecessor firm FirstService Williams in 2009.
Mr. Goodman has over 35 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. During that time, he has developed strategic solutions for numerous organizations with multi-market portfolios, giving them the tools to ensure real estate enhances their overall business goals and objectives. Mr. Goodman is especially knowledgeable about Lower Manhattan, having advised many Wall Street firms. He also serves clients in Midtown Manhattan and Jersey City, NJ (Exchange Place/Newport/Pavonia markets).
Before focusing on brokerage, Mr. Goodman worked once on the equities side of the business at Merrill Lynch. This experience gives him an understanding of the intricate commercial real estate needs of financial services firms and led to the successful representation of Nuveen Investments/TIAA, Federal Farm Credit Banks Funding Corporation and GNY Insurance Companies, among other firms in the Tri-State area.
Mr. Goodman earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and an MBA in Finance from New York University. He also completed the Diploma Program in Real Estate and Investment Analysis at the NYU Real Estate Institute.

Mr. Goodman is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York, a member of the Advisory Council for the New York City Special Olympics, the New York City YMCA, and Toastmasters International. He is actively involved with his alma mater and recently finished a term on the Board of New York University’s Alumni Council.
