Fong – the son of illiterate Cantonese immigrants, who overcame poverty, earned a law degree from Harvard, and became the first Asian-American United States Senator in history. This rooted Hawai’i family history is combined with 22 years of commercial real estate experience in the islands along with a devoted loyalty to Colliers International (previously known as Monroe & Friedlander). He currently leads and serves the Colliers Retail Group & Shopping Center Divisions and oversees a team of 16 brokers. He is also a fundamental part of the Colliers Hotel & Investment Divisions. He has the largest Shopping Center Portfolio in the state and spends his time working with institutional owners, institutional developers, trusts, family offiices, and institutional  tenants looking to do multi-store roll-outs. Testimonials

Marriott International, Inc.
Robert A. Sanger
Area Vice President, Lodging Development

Nathan has been a key resource for identifying hotel development opportunities in Hawai’i.  He has a strong work ethic and is very responsive to my information needs.  I am able to leverage his strong relationships with landowners, providing me with firsthand looks at off-market opportunities.”

MetLife
Joel Redmon
Regional Director

"Because of Hawaii's location being so remote, it was important that our broker had a vast understanding of both the local culture and the real estate market.  It was also fundamental that they met our institutional standards, were transparent, and accountable.  Nathan gave us these assurances and provided valuable insights reflecting a profound understanding from an owners perspective."

Invesco Real Estate
Art Fong
Senior Director

“As an institutional owner, we require transparency, commitment, and flawless execution.  Nathan and his team checked all those boxes and made our decision making process effortless.
