Matthew's role as an Associate allows him to work directly with our Reno retail team, handling tenant representation, landlord representation, and triple net sales. His focus is leasing, sales of shopping centers, and cultivating an extensive client base in the Reno market. He is grateful to be partnered with one of the most experienced retail teams in Northern Nevada: Roxanne Stevenson, Casey Scott, and Michael Maloney. Matthew's goal is to provide exponential value to his brokerage through business development, client engagement, and transaction services.
Matthew joined Colliers in April of 2019 as a retail intern, where he gained knowledge, hands-on experience, and provided remarkable benefits to his retail team. In 2020, Matthew received his broker-salespersons license in the state of Nevada which has allowed him to take the next step in his brokerage career. Getting involved in commercial real estate has always been his long-term goal occupation, and having studied business accounting at The University of Nevada made him confident that this was the industry that he was ready to pursue.
Matthew comes from San Jose California, where he enjoyed surfing, playing sports, going out to eat, and getting plenty of exercise. He moved to Reno to enjoy the great outdoors, snowboard as much as possible, and attend Nevada's leading college of business. Surrounding himself with motivated, upbeat people, allows him to look at the bigger picture and be grateful for what he has.
Accomplishments
Matthew passed his brokers exam in July of 2020, and accepted a full-time position as a Client Service Coordinator on the Reno retail team.

Roxanne Stevenson is a Senior Vice President for the Retail Services Group. She has over thirty years of experience in investment and land sales; tenant and landlord representation; leasing and facilities management for retail properties in Northern Nevada. Roxanne list of clients include some of the most prominent property owners and tenants in Northern Nevada. She has also been on several development teams assisting in assembling, designing, developing and pre-leasing new retail properties.
She has been a guest lecturer at the University of Nevada, Reno and serves on the Board of Directors for Commercial Women in Real Estate (CREW), the Advisory Board for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Nevada, Reno, and is an active member of ICSC.
As an industrial sales and leasing associate in Northern Nevada, I am happy to apply the skills that I developed as a leading retail associate over the last several years. In my retail role, I harnessed my industry knowledge and provided exceptional value to my clients. My extensive client list includes some of the most prominent owners, tenants, and developers in the area such as Shopoff Realty Investments, ALS Geochemical, and McKenzie Development. I have successfully leased and sold property ranging from small single-tenant suites to large multi-parcel shopping centers.
Due to the adjusting marketplace post COVID, traditional retailers are adapting and merging with industrial and supply chain opportunities to narrow the gap between manufacturer and consumer. I saw an opportunity to add value to my clients and change my focus to industrial services. My services include industrial landlord and tenant representation and investment sales in which I bring a pragmatic and analytical approach.
Prior to joining Colliers, I spent nine years in the retail automotive industry where I developed in depth knowledge of the Northern Nevada community as well as the rewards and challenges associated with small business.
As a former flight instructor and airline pilot I have a keen interest in the integration of complex systems, processes and human factors. A lifetime of self-discipline, attention to detail, and continuous evaluation helps me realize my client’s overarching business objectives. Delivering the counsel and services necessary for true ‘win-win’ transactions is my goal.
