About
Professional Summary
Aloha, I'm Mark Bratton, President of Bratton Realty Advisers, Ltd., and exclusively contracted with Colliers International, Hawaii’s largest commercial real estate organization. I specialize in the sale of investment properties in Hawaii and will strive to solve problems a property is going through, making it difficult to sell. I am there every step of the way assisting a potential buyer to understand the property and to close successfully. I am also a member of the USA Capital Markets Investment Sales Group, an elite team of sales professionals who work with institutional-quality properties. Members of the group transact business in key markets around the United States, and work collaboratively with their counterparts in Europe, Asia and Latin America. I've been at Colliers International since 1985 but left for one year, from 1992 to 1993 to join CB Richard Ellis in the Beverly Hills/Century City Office, representing tenants. I returned to Hawaii in 1993 and continued my efforts in commercial real estates investment division.
Coming from a family of developers, my introduction to the development world came in the late 70’s working as a carpenter on my family's developments both in California and in Hawaii. After obtaining a formalized education in Real Estate Investment and Development from San Diego State University, I moved to Hawaii to begin my career. I do have experience in both originating CMBS loans as well as assisting with the detailed loan assumption process.
In 2017 "The Bratton Team" was formed. We are a team of four individuals, myself included. We all have our strengths in different the aspects of real estate. But, the combined strength of us all makes our team unstoppable.

My Team
My Team
As an Investment Services specialist, I focus on representing buyers and sellers of all commercial property types throughout the State of Hawaii. Having operated as a commercial developer throughout most of my 15-year commercial real estate career in Northern California and Northern Nevada, I know the right questions to ask to identify my clients’ needs and match them to opportunities in the market. Bringing a deep skillset of opportunity sourcing, underwriting, market analysis, acquisition, project oversight and disposition, provides me with unique insight to help my clients achieve their goals.
My family and I moved to Hawaii in 2012 where I served as the Costar/Loopnet representative for the Hawaii and Alaska markets. This experience provided me with a unique opportunity to meet and learn about all of the properties, owners, developers, brokers, lenders and other professionals involved in commercial real estate throughout these two great states. Both markets are very unique and nuanced, and require creativity to tap into the market’s true potential, a skill I continue to hone on a daily basis. It is rare that I won’t drive by a property and think, “how could the value of this property be maximized…and who do I know that could make it happen?”. From there, it is about creatively bringing together the pieces of the puzzle.
As part of "The Bratton Team", which is the leading investment sales brokerage team in Hawaii, my primary role is to lead the team’s marketing efforts by overseeing the design and dissemination of all marketing materials including brochures, websites, advertisements, postcards, and other promotional materials. In my role, I'm responsible for creating and maintaining marketing budgets, assembling due diligence documents, generating weekly status reports, and coordinating property tours.
I also play the role of a transaction manager, tracking documentation for the due diligence folder and processes, updating reports and conducting follow-up calls.
I have over 20 years of commercial real estate experience and have been involved with many aspects of the business.
My career began way back in July 1997. I began as a receptionist for CBRE in Honolulu and, having been recognized for my talent, I quickly moved up to become the administrative assistant to the Senior Managing Director. From there, I wanted to learn more about the commercial real estate business, so I expanded my knowledge, went to real estate classes, got my real estate license and became one of the leasing agents for the 677 Ala Moana and 1221 Kapiolani Boulevard properties. However, after a year of being a leasing agent, I realized that my true passion is in corporate support and assisting the brokerage team. During that time, I wore many "hats". I became the leasing coordinator for the Kamehameha Schools portfolio for over 10 years as well as the marketing assistant to three investment brokers and one office broker. I also kept track of the sales and lease contracts as the office listing coordinator and conducted office orientations with new employees.
