Marie has a wealth of experience in the commercial real estate industry. For the past ten years, she has been involved with various aspects of Hawaii real estate transactions ranging from the development, disposition and leasing of real property to secured loan transactions. Marie currently serves as corporate counsel and is active with document reviews for commercial sales and leasing transactions, as well as, corporate and property management agreements and advises on matters concerning leased and managed properties.
Yamamoto & Settle – Associate
Prior to joining Colliers, Marie was an Associate with the law firm of Yamamoto & Settle. She represented local and mainland clients in Hawaii land transactions, including the acquisition, development and disposition of commercial and residential real estate, due diligence property and title reviews, residential subdivision and condominium projects, ground, office, shopping center and telecommunication facility leases and licenses, leased fee conversions and general business transactions. In addition, she advised lenders and borrowers on real estate and asset-based secured loan transactions, including USDA guaranteed loans.
Oshima Chun Fong & Chung/Chun Rair & Yoshimoto - Associate
While at Oshima Chun/Chun Rair, Marie represented lenders and borrowers in commercial real estate and asset-based secured loan transactions for the acquisition and development of real estate and commercial ventures. She also advised financial institutions on a variety of corporate regulatory compliance issues and conducted various aspects of real estate transactions including due diligence property and title reviews, conveyancing, subdivision, leasing and leased-fee bulk sales.
