Andrew joined the Chicago office of Colliers International in 2012 where he works with a unique team of brokers, analysts and client coordinators focused solely on delivering creative solutions to complex real estate challenges for occupiers based both in Chicago and nationally. He focuses on transactions and relationship management for corporate relationships. His projects include a 95,000 square-foot corporate headquarters redevelopment, relocation of a 100,000 square-foot enterprise-critical contact center and a restructure of a 130,000 square foot lease for both office and industrial occupiers.
He remained involved throughout the entire transaction, from strategic planning and site selection/space design through to lease negotiations and relocation management. Andrew is very active in Capital Markets-based analysis and research, identifying opportunities for below-market pricing in facilities that support his clients’ business objectives.
Prior to joining Colliers, Andrew spent over five years at DTZ/C&W where he focused on new business development both in Chicago and nationally and servicing existing client relationships.
Andrew attended Indiana University where he majored in Business Finance & Real Estate in the Kelley School of Business. Andy was an Evans Scholar at Indiana.
Specializing in the design and implementation of solutions to complex real estate challenges, I lead a team who provides end-to-end solutions – from strategic planning and space design through relocation management – with specialization in site selection, workplace design and lease/financing negotiations. Most of my work is for large, enterprise-critical real estate projects or as relationship manager for corporate relationships. Projects include master planning and relocation of a 360,000 square-foot corporate headquarters, restructure of a 400,000 square-foot corporate headquarters lease, distressed debt recapitalization for a tenant of a 560,000 square-foot headquarters and build-to-suit development / redevelopments for office and industrial facilities.
Clients benefit from the lowest real estate cost structure by minimizing landlord returns during lease/purchase negotiations and/or sourcing the lowest costs of capital.
My previous experience representing landlords in both leasing and acquisitions brings a 360-degree perspective to the real estate process. With the Winston Management Corporation and Investors Equities’ Corporation, I directed the acquisition, leasing and management of a 1 million-square-foot portfolio of office and industrial properties.
Through property repositioning and an aggressive campaign, I increased same-store revenue by 30 percent and expanded the office portfolio by 37 percent.
Professionally, I serve on the programs committee of the Urban Land Institute and am a member of CoreNet and the Executives Club of Chicago. I care deeply for the enablement of Chicago’s youth. I currently serve as a director to Goodcity NFP and previously served on the advisory board of Perspectives Charter School, mentored inner-city high school juniors, volunteered through Junior Achievement at an inner city school and served on a steering committee of the Greater Chicago Food Depository’s Real Estate Awards Dinner.
