Jeff Abney currently oversees all engineering services for a portfolio of 15 properties, exceeding 1 million square feet (MSF). Jeff is responsible for the oversight of all vendors performing work at the properties and is on call 24/7 for any tenant need or emergency. He is also responsible for the completion of owner requested weekly operations checklist that reviews all property operations, including landscaping, snow removal, structural issues, vacant space condition, roof inspections, fire / life safety issues, electrical issues, and plumbing / irrigation issues.
Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Jeff owned and operated his own general contracting business for seven years. During that time, he became experienced in the many trades of general contracting including, but not limited to: Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical/HVAC, Stud and Drywall Installation, Roofing, Fire & Life Safety Procedures, Masonry and Concrete Repairs.
Before starting his own business, Jeff worked in a supervisory position for his family-owned masonry business for 19 years. In this capacity, Jeff was responsible for the management of a project team exceeding 15 employees.
Jeff has completed the Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry for the private sector that covers OSHA policies, procedures, and standards, as well as general industry safety and health principles. This course also places special emphasis on those areas that are the most hazardous, using OSHA standards as a guide.
