Professional Summary

Jay Brooks joined Colliers in May 2021 as a Senior Project Manager to lead the Project Management practice in the Kansas City market.  Jay is responsible for managing major capital investment, tenant improvement and ground-up projects from inception through completion for all real estate types including Office, Industrial, Mixed-use, Hospitality, and Retail. 

Jay provides direction and leadership by overseeing all facets of a project including planning, development, selection and coordination of designers and contractors, contract negotiation and administration, design, construction, furniture & equipment procurement, and move management. Jay leads project execution on behalf of both tenants and landlords.

Jay has 15 years of experience in the construction and development industry.  Prior to his role at Colliers, Jay served has a Senior Project Manager for CBRE in Kansas City managing projects throughout Kansas and Missouri for both local and national clients. 

Prior to his role with CBRE, Jay served as Vice President for Leisure Construction & Renovation, LLC, a Kansas City based general contractor, completing hospitality projects throughout the Midwest for both national and independent brands.


Jay graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
