About
Professional Summary
I focus on developing operating policies and procedures for property management personnel that create safe, efficient working environments and delivers the best value possible to our clients. This means that I work with everything from emergency response and disaster preparedness guidelines to negotiation of national procurement agreements with vendors. I also oversee the Colliers Service Center, which is based in Charlotte, North Carolina and position it to meet our clients’ expanding needs by adding functionality like lease abstraction and critical date tracking.
Most of my 25-year career has been spent working face-to-face with clients handling field training, building inspections, capital planning and engineering operations, which helps me figure out what value Colliers can bring to their assets now. Depending on the type of property or portfolio, I will work with local management and engineering teams to do everything from property inspections to energy audits and transition support.
More often than not, you can find me in the garage working on my car. If I’m not there, check the backyard to see if I’m out grilling with my family.

My Team
I work in the Washington, DC office and focus on providing strategic, reliable building operations across the national REMS portfolio. Together with a team of regional engineering leaders, I ensure that client assets run efficiently to support the mission of occupant comfort and increased asset value. We achieve our missions by concentrating efforts on calculated national vendor relationships, improved energy efficiency measures, informed budget planning, and high-quality engineering services.
Much of my time is spent developing national best practices, determining resourceful technologies, and building client relationships. I also support REMS clients with capital project planning, environmental health and safety, due diligence, and code regulation compliance.
Before joining Colliers in 2011, I oversaw the Mid-Atlantic Grubb & Ellis’ commercial office portfolio as the Regional Engineering Manager. I began my career in commercial real estate with McShea Management working as a Chief Engineer more than 16 years ago and have had the opportunity to work with clients such as ING, TIAA-CREF, Morgan Stanley, Real Estate Capital Partners and Invesco.
Michelle manages the day to day operations of the US Service Center based in Charlotte, NC as well as developing and implementing policies and procedures with National Properties Services team within Real Estate Management Services group.
