Professional Summary

As a Vice President of Colliers International in the Spartanburg office, Garrett Scott specializes in leasing, sales and development advisory services for industrial properties across the Greenville-Spartanburg market.

Along with his experience in both brokerage and development, Scott works with teammates and industrial professionals John Montgomery and Brockton Hall to provide clients a unique perspective for their real estate decisions.

Scott’s focus is not just on the transaction, nor on how real estate can save a client money, but how it can make them money by capitalizing on the operational advantages which a building and location can offer. This provides a clearer path to what is truly important in a locational decision.

With experience in both brokerage and development with a proven track record of providing innovative solutions to meet corporate objectives, Scott offers an advantage that clients seek out.

Professional Accomplishments

In his career, Scott has been responsible for the planning, acquisition and implementation of more than 28 industrial parks across the Southeast and beyond.

He is responsible for the development of more than 30 million square feet of Class A industrial space, including manufacturing, automotive suppliers, warehouse, fulfillment and e-commerce related facilities.

More than 130 different clients have relied on Scott to manage the start-up and implementation of their facilities. This background brings invaluable experience and understanding which allows Scott to meet the needs of tenants, developers and investors “from dock-door to C-suite”.

He has been named a CoStar Power Broker in industrial leasing transactions for three consecutive years. In 2018, he obtained the professional designation of SIOR (Society of Industrial and Office REALTORS). He is also an active member of both the Logistics & Transportation Group and Colliers’ Automotive Desk.

Community Involvement

Garrett Scott actively serves the community through giving of time and resources. He currently holds board-level positions with The Humanities Council SC, The Piedmont Club in Spartanburg and Clemson University’s Board of Visitors.

He enjoys spending time in the Spartanburg and Greenville areas by attending concerts and fly fishing in both salt and freshwater environments.

Scott is a 1989 graduate of Clemson University and has since worked in industrial real estate development.

After 27 years of running an industrial development firm, he transitioned to brokerage services, focusing on industrial properties.
