Since 1974, Dennis has been actively involved in the commercial real estate business working as an appraiser, property manager, broker, and consultant. With this eclectic background, Dennis serves both occupier and investor clients leading them through complex leasing and sales transactions.
As an Executive Vice President with Colliers St. Louis, his experienced, results-driven approach has made him a trusted leader and advisor for clients and colleagues. Concentrating his efforts on the local office market, Dennis has advised clients through some of the largest transactions in the St. Louis region. He has received several accolades throughout his career and continues to be an industry leader due to his energy, creativity, and market insight.
Prior to joining Colliers, Dennis was Senior Director and Principal at Gateway Commercial, an affiliate of Cushman & Wakefield in St. Louis. During his time at Gateway, Dennis worked with several large, investor and occupier clients such as Ernst & Young, Pfizer, Jacobs Engineering, BJC Health System, RREEF, TIAA, FedEx, Centene, GMAC, Citicorp Real Estate Inc., THF Realty, and Saint Louis University. He has worked on investment sales, disposition and leasing and tenant representation assignments ranging in size and complexity.
In addition to his industry involvement, Dennis contributes his time and talents to various community organizations. He is a past board member of the White House Retreat, Chesterfield Arts Board, Missouri Growth Association and currently serves on the Property and Finance Committee of the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Working in commercial real estate for over 15 years, Joe is a leading member of Colliers St. Louis Investment Team. Combining valuation, appraisal and brokerage expertise, Joe’s in-depth knowledge of all asset types enables him to take a comprehensive advisory approach. Working for clients ranging from single property owners and banks to large REITs and Fortune 100 companies, Joe is a principal player in the regional investment market.
A significant percentage of purchasers in his network are based outside the Midwest region. Joe works diligently to develop connections throughout the U.S. This helps maximize exposure of his clients’ local assets, receiving prompt feedback from purchasers and negotiating optimal terms with speed and diligence. His dedication to outstanding results for his clients has led to many repeat business relationships.
Prior to joining Colliers, Joe was a Director at Gateway Commercial, an affiliate of Cushman & Wakefield in St. Louis. Before his time at Gateway, Joe focused on user/occupier services at Block Hawley Commercial Real Estate, commercial real estate brokerage at Coldwell Banker Commercial, and appraisal/valuation services at R.A. Buckles and Associates. Joe’s vast and varied experience in the commercial real estate industry allows him to provide a deeper level of service to his clients.
Joe is a past nationally ranked competitive road cyclist. Currently he enjoys volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri.
Erin Torney is an Advisor on the Investment Sales Team at Colliers-St. Louis. A significant portion of her work is helping clients with acquisitions and dispositions of commercial property. In doing so, she consults with clients and prospective clients on valuing their current holdings and advising on how to maximize their value on a subsequent transaction. Erin’s clients are primarily private and professional capital investors. Her team also helps lenders, receivers, and asset managers with repositions and dispositions of distressed and underutilized real estate.
Prior to joining the brokerage team at Colliers, Erin began her career as a real estate attorney. She worked on real estate issues including eminent domain, appraisals/valuations, relocation issues, property disposition and acquisition, zoning, and land use as well as lease drafting, negotiations and disputes.
Erin is currently active with two industry organizations - Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). With CREW, Erin currently serves as a Director on the St. Louis board and is the past chair of both the Membership and Ambassador committees. She is also a board member of the St. Louis chapter of CCIM. Her advocacy and education efforts in these organizations center on career advancement and growth opportunities in the commercial real estate industry.
