As a tenant/buyer representative I generally work with businesses of 15+ employees, helping to educate them about the process and making sure they get the best deals in the market.
I also work with investors along the Interstate 93/Route 101 corridors in southern New Hampshire. I focus on cash-flow properties like retail strip centers, self storage facilities, apartments, car washes, etc., helping these clients to maximize value and returns.
In addition, I have developed an expertise in commercial and industrial real estate in the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport area.
I know what I’m doing – I have been involved in real estate in southern New Hampshire since 1980, first as a practicing real estate lawyer, then as a title abstractor, and since 2000 as a commercial-only agent.
In 2004, I obtained my CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Advisor) designation and have always been committed to lifelong learning.
I know my market – Except for my college years at Marquette University in Milwaukee, I have spent virtually my entire life in the Merrimack River valley and have lived in New Hampshire since 1974.
I don’t use the GPS device in my car. My career has given me the opportunity to become very familiar with the properties, streets, and towns in southern New Hampshire.
I know people – Over the course of my career, I have cultivated a vast and deep network of peers, friends, clients, investors, property owners, professionals, and government officials. These quality relationships provide another strong value-add for my clients.
These three qualities constitute my value proposition, and, along with diligence, honesty, and integrity, I believe they are the most important attributes of a competent commercial real estate broker.

"We decided to work with Dan, who came highly recommended. He explained that we would need to find a buyer who was interested in the cash flow from the tenant until the lease expired, and then might want to occupy the building after that. Shortly after bringing the property to the market, Dan found several interested buyers. We feel that Dan added value throughout the process by determining the best way to market the building, which has a non-traditional layout, estabilishing a fair market price, and identifying potential buyers from his database. We highly recommend him for complex commercial real estate matters."
Mike Travers & Sue Evans Norris
"Dan's expertise and local market knowledge was invaluable. He was patient, knowledgeable, and insightful. From presenting us with options in the downtown area to providing guidance on lease terms with the landlord, we always felt well served by Dan and his team."
Mike Jurnak, Principal, CPA
"Dan Scanlon is an extension of our team. He is always available for guidance and strategy conversations, and he is an expert in the commercial real estate field in general and the southern New Hampshire market specifically. We rely on his expertise for critical business decisions, and he is a consummate professional with his knowledge, judgment, and trustworthiness. He also connects us with other professionals across the country for real estate needs elsewhere. When we have a queston or need to start a market search, Dan is always our first call."

"Through Dan's work, it becameevident that he possessed an extensive network of relationships and knokwledge of the local marketplace, thereby enabling us to consider a full range of options. In the end, Dan's thoughtful advice and guidance, ranging from property identification to lease negotiations, helped to secure an exciting new home for Baldwin & Clarke."
Peter Clarke, COO
The Baldwin & Clarke Companies
“The professionalism and thoroughness that Dan Scanlon provided from start to finish on this search was exemplary. Not only was he able to bring a number of potential prospects to the table, but he was most helpful with the lease agreement, terms and made the entire leasing process that much easier. Dan’s knowledge of the regional market and his involvement within our local community was a prime factor in working with him for this lease. I would encourage and recommend any company or individual needing assistance to contact you, and look forward to working with you again as we continue our growth.”

“Thank you, Dan, for all of your help in purchasing 66 Gold Ledge Avenue, the new home of NH Signs. When we started talking 3 years ago, the dream of a new premises seemed elusive; over the intervening years you kept presenting well researched and well considered options for us. Finally, Gold Ledge came on the market. Your advice and counsel over the many months it took to satisfy our needs was invaluable. You were available, honest, responsive, and very knowledgeable. You supported us in front of the Planning Board and helped us with the negotiations. Hopefully we will work together in the future.”
Peter March, President
“We have been fortunate to work with Dan on several projects, but one of the more significant ones was the recent acquisition of 20 acres of vacant land in Londonderry for a 78 unit affordable housing development. This will be the first affordable housing project in Londonderry and the largest real estate development project undertaken in our history. Dan’s expertise and patience were priceless as we worked our way through the acquisition process. We were extremely fortunate to have Dan on our team. Thank you again and I certainly hope that we find more projects to work on together in the future."
Robert Tourigny, Executive Director
NeighborWorks Southern New Hampshire
“Dan is the best example of a results and service oriented professional. I went to Dan because I trusted that he would work for me and our team to make sure our business found a home that suited our unique needs. He tirelessly pursued only the relevant properties for us and had a keen eye for what we needed. He also did this on a very aggressive schedule. Our new space could not fit Sojourn’s Team and clients better. We not only have a space, we have a home that we are now excited to settle in for some time to come. Colliers and Dan really made a difference for our company and our future.”
Russ Ouellette, Managing Director
I am proud to be a first generation American. My parents emigrated from Greece and I consider myself fortunate to be bilingual in Greek and English.
Growing up I saw firsthand how hard work and perseverance can achieve greatness. As a young adult, I helped my parents manage their retail units, multifamily properties, and our family restaurant, Pizza Bella. Over the years I have found tenants, managed property, and helped build the businesses my parents worked so hard to start. After my father passed away in 2012, my mother bought out her partner’s half of the restaurant and that’s when I stepped in full time to help run Pizza Bella. Within the first year, we grew our sales over 30% and I am proud to say we have continued to flourish.
Prior to joining Colliers, I worked in residential real estate. I focused on the buyer side and enjoyed helping first time buyers find their dream home. However, this experience made me realize that my passion was truly in commercial real estate. Personally seeing the ins and outs of being a commercial property owner has given me a unique perspective allowing me to put myself in an owner’s shoes.
Growing up and living in New Hampshire for over 30 years and taking a leadership role in operating a small local business, I understand how a commercial property can become a home base for the community.
