Chris Johnson is the Managing Director for Valuation & Advisory Services in North Carolina and Richmond, Virginia. He has fifteen years of appraisal and consulting experience throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. The group specializes in the valuation of commercial properties with an emphasis on financial analysis of income-producing assets, including apartments, retail centers, malls, and outlet centers, hotel and extended stay lodging, multi-tenant office and industrial properties, net leased assets and various sellout oriented assets such as subdivisions and/or condominiums. Mr. Johnson has extensive experience in the preparation and review of real estate appraisals, feasibility studies, rent analyzes and market studies of commercial, industrial, and residential properties. Clients include developers, financial institutions, individual and corporate property owners and attorneys. In addition, Valuation, consultation, and review assignments have included virtually all traditional types of commercial property throughout North and South Carolina including Virginia, Georgia and Washington DC.
Accomplishments
Mr. Johnson holds the MAI, SRA, and AI-GRS designations of the Appraisal Institute. In addition, he earned his ASA designation from the American Society of Appraisers. He is a Certified Real Estate General Appraiser in North and South Carolina including Virginia, Georgia and Washington DC. Prior to joining Colliers International, he was employed as a director with Cushman & Wakefield. Prior to his Cushman & Wakefield affiliation, he was with the Hopkins-McElhannon Group, Inc., a local Charlotte-based appraisal company. Chris is also an instructor teaching various appraisal classes offered via Central Piedmont Community College, and the Appraisal Institute. In addition, he is a certified USPAP instructor.

Vanessa Hall, MAI joined Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services in March of 2018. With more than 20 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience, she has appraised properties nationwide and is currently certified in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland. Vanessa specializes in the valuation of retail assets including single-tenant net leased retail, unanchored shopping center to regional malls, vacant land, proposed developments, mixed use and adaptive reuse developments, and ground leases. She has experience in the preparation and review of real estate appraisals, rent analyses, market studies, and testifying as an expert witness.
I have been appraising commercial real property since January 1987 and worked as a residential appraiser for two years prior to that.
Reese Pittman joined Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services in 2018. He has significant experience in preparing real estate appraisals, feasibility studies, and market studies. Mr. Pittman has been involved in various functions within the real estate industry since 2005. He has extensive experience with multi-family, eminent domain, industrial, office, and retail properties, as well as with mixed use, single-tenant, and vacant land.
Michael McCaskill joined Colliers International Valuation & Advisory Services in 2013. He is a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with experience in all major property types throughout the Southeast. Professional appraisal experience has been in general commercial real estate appraisal assignments including: single and multi-tenant retail assets, single and multi-tenant office and industrial buildings (including Flex, R&D, and Lab spaces), mixed-use properties, net lease properties, and vacant land.
As a member of the Colliers Self-Storage Specialty Practice Group he specializes in the valuation of self-storage assets throughout the Carolinas and Virginia.
Certified General Real Estate Appraiser licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. Appraisal experience includes a variety of residential and commercial uses including single and multi-unit residential, retail, office and industrial properties, office, institutional, and special-purpose properties, specializing in eminent domain appraisal for various clients.

Michael was employed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser with the Efird Corporation in Charlotte, NC. It was at Efird Corporation where he was a Trainee and gained valuable experiences having multiple supervisors.
Michael specializes in retail and hospitality properties and has experience in single tenant and multi-tenant properties including shopping centers. He is licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
