Casey Babb, CCIM joined Colliers Tampa office as an Executive Managing Director in January 2021, specializing in multifamily investment sales. As team leader for Colliers Florida Multifamily, Mr. Babb manages eight producers and four essential support staff and his focus is on seller representation of large apartment communities located throughout the state. Since 2018, Mr. Babb has helped his clients close 150 multifamily transactions valued at over $885 Million. Mr. Babb entered the commercial investment real estate industry in 2002 after graduating from Florida State University where he obtained degrees in both real estate and finance. He obtained his CCIM designation in 2004. Throughout his career, Mr. Babb has been routinely recognized as a top producer nationally at several different brokerage firms in the Tampa Bay area.

Mr. Babb has been recognized as a leader in the multifamily industry on numerous occasions and has been a consistently high producer throughout his career. He earned his CCIM designation in 2004 and was prominently named in CIRE Magazine's 'Rising Stars in Commercial Real Estate' that same year. He was then named one of Real Estate Florida's '30 Under 30' in 2008, and Real Estate Florida's 'Commercial Real Estate All-Stars' in 2009. At his previous brokerage firm, Mr. Babb earned ten consecutive Sales Recognition Awards as well as four National Achievement Awards which are only awarded to the Top 10 percent of brokers in North America. In 2020, Mr. Babb's team led the state of Florida in multifamily transaction velocity closing 49 deals in the face of significant economic headwinds. In his first year at Colliers, Mr. Babb's team closed nearly $400 Million worth of apartments throughout the state.

Shawn Rupp is one of three partners in the sixteen person Colliers Florida Multifamily team which led the state of Florida in 2020 for total number of multifamily transactions. Shawn has over 17 years of experience working as a commercial real estate advisor and specializes in helping multifamily owners maximize the value of their assets, whether or not they have a sale imminent.
Shawn is the creator of propriety software which allows his team to mine their own data instead of relying on information provided by third-party vendors used by most of the industry. This software also runs simulations and utilizes artificial intelligence to determine the most likely buyers for each listing and help compile institutional quality business-case analyses for clients.
Luis entered the commercial investment real estate industry in 2004 on the ownership and management side, where he assisted in analyzing and acquiring a portfolio of multifamily properties on behalf of a private investor based in South Florida. He was associated with Marcus & Millichap's Tampa office from July 2010-December 2020, specializing in multifamily housing.
He is a graduate of the University of Tampa where he majored in finance, with a minor in Latin American studies. As an advocate of continuing education, Luis pursued his CCIM designation which is recognized as the most coveted and respected in the industry for commercial investment professionals.
Miles Tombrink was previously a Senior Associate and Member of the National Multi-Housing Group at Marcus & Millichap. After beginning his career in the residential and student housing space in 2014, he joined Marcus & Millichap's Tampa office in June 2016 as a research and market analyst for The Babb Group. His primary duties included agent proposal and listing support, rent and sale comp reporting, market updating and database management for the team. After a year of training in Marcus & Millichap's Sales Intern Program, Miles officially launched as an investment sales associate in June 2017. At the conclusion of 2018, Miles finished as the #1 agent amongst all of Marcus & Millichap multifamily agents in the state of Florida with less than 36 months of tenure. In October of 2020, he earned a promotion in title to Senior Associate after eclipsing the companies required performance metrics.
After finishing #1 in number of multifamily transactions amongst all of the state of Florida in 2020, The Babb Group was acquired by Colliers International to form the Colliers Florida Multifamily Team where he is now an Associate Vice President of Multifamily Investments. To date, he has closed 45 transactions totaling 1,050 units, with a market value over $98 million. He focuses on seller representation of sub 100-unit apartment properties located along the I-4 Corridor from Tampa to Orlando. Miles was born and has lived in the Tampa Bay area his entire life, is a 2nd generation commercial real estate practitioner, is active in Florida real estate networking events and enjoys attending sporting events with family and friends.
Jay Ayres joined Collier’s Florida Multifamily Team in January 2021, specializing in multifamily investment sales in Pinellas County - home to the cities of St. Petersburg and Clearwater, as well as some of the best beaches in the country. His involvement in real estate began in 2013 when he was responsible for overseeing acquisitions, rehabs, leasing, and management for private investors. Mr. Ayres transitioned to multifamily investment sales in 2019 and is focused on being a trusted advisor to multifamily investors by offering market insight, financial analysis and business plan recommendations that compliment his and his team’s ability to effectively and efficiently help clients sell or acquire multifamily assets.
Mike Steiner joined The Colliers Florida Multifamily Team in January of 2021 as the Director of Multifamily, Florida Panhandle. His focus is on seller representation of multifamily apartment properties located primarily in the Panhandle of Northwest Florida and southern regions of Georgia and Alabama. Mr. Steiner entered the commercial investment real estate industry in 2005 after graduating from Florida State University with degrees in Real Estate and a M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning. Prior to his current position in multifamily investment sales, Mike was focused on the development of Student Housing, working with a national Student Housing developer in managing a broad range of day to day activities in support of new development projects around the country, inclusive of project-level due diligence and design coordination, helping to secure entitlement/zoning approvals, project scheduling, RFP responses coordination, project budgeting/underwriting and coordination with construction. Having owned, developed, managed and brokered over 300 Million in MF real estate, Mike is able to provide a unique perspective on the overall market to his clients. Mike is a lifelong Floridian, growing up in Destin and is a 2nd generation commercial real estate practitioner. He is married to wife Emily, they have 3 boys: oldest son Milo and twin boys, Rowan and Julian.
Brad McCollum is a Senior Associate for the Colliers Florida Multifamily Team in the firm's Jacksonville Office. His focus is on seller representation of multifamily apartment properties located in Northeast Florida.
Prior to Colliers, Mr. McCollum has spent his career in commercial real estate brokerage, construction and development and he is also a Florida Certified General Contractor. He has brokered, managed, and developed a wide array of projects which brings a unique set of skills and knowledge to the table for his clients.
Mr. McCollum also has deep roots in the Jacksonville market. As a lifelong resident, Brad graduated from Episcopal School of Jacksonville and then from the University of North Florida with a bachelor’s degree in business. He is active in his community and has been involved in numerous volunteering and charitable programs. In his spare time, Brad enjoys golfing, fishing, and zealously rooting for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Tyler Carbonelli joined the Colliers Tampa office as a Deal Manager in February 2021, specializing in multifamily investment sales, financial underwriting, marketing, and transaction management during the team's transition to the Colliers Platform prior to being promoted to Senior Associate in November 2021. Since 2017, Mr. Carbonelli has helped his clients close over 50 transactions totaling over $165 Million as an investment sales associate in the multifamily industry. Mr. Carbonelli graduated from Florida State University in 2017 where he acquired his degree in finance before entering the commercial investment real estate industry. Mr. Carbonelli continues to build upon his real estate expertise and is currently in the process of obtaining his CCIM designation.
With extensive experience in seller representation, acquisitions, development and finance in the multifamily industry, Mr. Carbonelli focuses primarily on the Pinellas County private client markets assisting his clients with the financial analysis, advisory, acquisition and disposition of multifamily assets and development sites. His extensive experience generates value for his clients through managing every stage of the sales process including but not limited to developing & executing marketing strategies, identifying and qualifying buyers, anticipating potential issues in advance of occurring and as well as managing post-closing matters should any emerge.
Kristyn joins Colliers as a Client Services Coordinator providing marketing and administrative support for the Florida Multifamily Team that includes Casey Babb, Shawn Rupp, Luis Baez, Miles Tombrink, Mike Steiner, Jay Ayres, Andrew Green, Brad McCollum, Andrew Birr, Ryan Wooden and Tyler Carbonelli.
Prior to joining Colliers, Kristyn worked at SRS Real Estate Partners in Denver, Colorado, as a Marketing Coordinator providing graphic design, email marketing and other marketing initiatives including managing the offices social media accounts for an office of 14 brokers. Prior to SRS and during her time in college, Kirstyn co-founded Jon-Girl Boutique, an online women’s clothing store and managed the company’s SEO and ad strategy, along with fostering thousands of Instagram followers.
A graduate from Brigham Young University, Kristyn received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management. During her time at BYU, she was heavily involved in the Marriott School of Management as part of their student council and helped drive various marketing initiatives for the program.
Nathan Lynch worked with CBRE for 10 years prior to joining Colliers International. Nathan was a graduate of Linfield College in McMinnville, OR with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a minor in mathematics.
Prior to joining Colliers International, Nathan specialized in debt and equity finance with CBRE. Nathan has been directly involved in the placement of over $2 billion in commercial real estate debt and has originated over $500 million in commercial debt in Europe and the U.S. Nathan also managed a servicing portfolio of 200 loans totaling over $1.2 billion.
Don Jennewein has over 30 years’ experience in the mortgage banking industry with transactions totaling more than $6 billion, primarily in retail, multi-family, office, and industrial properties.
Prior to joining Colliers International, Don was a Senior Vice President for CBRE, Inc., in the Debt & Structured Finance department and was responsible for loan origination, underwriting, appraisal, coordination of loan closings, cultivation of developer clients and negotiation of loan terms and conditions.
Will Mathews is primarily responsible for procuring, executing, and closing multifamily investment sale transactions throughout the United States. Mr. Mathews specializes in institutional and private capital multifamily sales and the placement of equity and debt capital. Since joining Colliers in January of 2012, he has assisted with the sale of over 73,000 apartment units totaling $7.5 billion. Routinely recognized by Colliers as a top producer nationally, Mr. Mathews sits on the Colliers U.S. Capital Markets Board as an advisor and multifamily lead. With $2.5 billion in sales over the last 12 months, encompassing 15 States plus The Bahamas, Mr. Mathews accelerates client success by sourcing out-of-market buyers with discretionary capital.
