Professional Summary
Carl joined Colliers International’s Philadelphia region in 2013. His real estate market focus is on the sale of investment properties in the Philadelphia region which includes Eastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. As a 25-year veteran of the commercial real estate industry, Carl’s expertise has been with investment sales in representing owners in the marketing of their income properties, acquisition services for private and institutional income property investors, developers and users, as well as various consulting assignments for clients.
Accomplishments
Before joining Colliers, Carl was a Senior Vice President in the Capital Markets Group of Newmark entities for 15 years. While there, he marketed office buildings, shopping centers and industrial properties. Carl was an integral part of the Newmark/Grubb & Ellis Capital Markets Group, a team leader in the Mid-Atlantic Capital Markets Group, an investment sales team leader in the Philadelphia region, and a member of the Investment Advisory Board.
In prior positions, Carl was involved in real estate development, portfolio management, and sales consulting. He was worked with Coopers & Lybrand in the Consulting Group where he had management and credit committee responsibilities in the workout and disposition of a $1.8 billion portfolio of REO and debt. He was also affiliated with Kidder Peabody and Trafalgar Associates. Mr. Neilson was involved in several early CMBS securitizations and development projects in Manhattan.
