In 2013 he started his real estate career with another commercial real estate firm in Bakersfield. He began his real estate career at Colliers International | Central California in 2014, joining the already successful Bakersfield Office Properties Team.. David is a co-managing partner of the 36-agent Bakersfield and Fresno offices of Colliers International and serves on its board of directors and management team. In addition, David represents Colliers Central California at all national market leader meetings, which provides him with a unique perspective of the national real estate market.
David has been a commercial real estate broker specializing in the sales and leasing of office and light industrial properties since 1985. David has spent his entire career with Colliers International | Bakersfield. The firm, formally known as Charles Tingey Associates was founded in 1968. David was elected as a partner in 1993. David has spent his entire real estate career with Colliers International, Bakersfield.
David also heads up the most successful office marketing team in Bakersfield / Kern County with a team of specialists consisting of six agents specializing in office, medical, flex, light industrial, research and marketing. He has developed a solid reputation for creating strategic marketing campaigns to enhance and increase the value of his client’s commercial real estate. David’s resume includes financial, corporate and institutional clients as well as the individual with an interest in real estate.
I joined Colliers International in April 1996 as an associate specializing in office sales and leasing and became a principal in 2016. I have proven to be an integral member of the “team approach” philosophy towards successful representation.
I began my real estate career in 2002 as a residential agent at a local residential firm. In 2004, after two years in residential real estate, and finishing my last two years of college, I had the opportunity to join Colliers International in Bakersfield and work as a commercial agent with my mentor, David Williams. I have been with Colliers International in Bakersfield for 14 years now.
I specialize in all aspects of commercial office properties which include: investment properties, owner/user purchases, Healthcare/Medical properties, physician representation, landlord representation, tenant representation, and office land sales.
My clients are building owners, investors, tenants, buyers & sellers, and physicians. As such, I strive to operate with honesty and integrity while working with my clients to produce the best scenario for their needs; whether it be a 250 square foot office lease or the sale/purchase of a Class A office building. Each client faces different challenges, and it is my job to help overcome them. My clients benefit from my strong work ethic, problem solving abilities, consistent communication, and keeping their best interest as my number one priority.
I became a Senior Vice President and Principal at Colliers International in Central California in 2010. After my second year at Colliers I achieved Top Performer status and have achieved that milestone every year since then.
As a native of Bakersfield, I have experienced Bakersfield’s highs and lows, watching it evolve and change into the city it has become today. My 14 years of commercial real estate experience, vast knowledge of the market, strong work ethic, and always putting my client’s needs first are all assets I possess to give my clients the best service possible.
