Kevin I. Morris is the leader of Colliers Affordable Housing Group. This specialty division is active across the country brokering in the disposition and acquisition of affordable housing complexes coast to coast. Kevin brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate experience to Colliers South Florida. Collectively the group has over 60 years of experience.
For the past fifteen years, Kevin has narrowed his specialty, focusing on affordable housing property transactions. He has experience closing a broad range of project-based deals, including the Housing Assistance Payments (HAP Contract), Rural Development (RD 515), and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) which included both General Partner interest transfers and fee simple sales.
Building upon his foundation of knowledge and experience, the Affordable Housing Group is positioned to help clients navigate the complexities of this niche property landscape - including strategic planning issues, development and tax matters, and the intricacies of federal, state and local housing programs.
Since 1986, Robert has worked consistently in the South Florida commercial real estate market. In his 30+ year career, Mr. Listokin has leased or sold millions of square feet of commercial property with an aggregate value well in excess of $1 billion. Over the years, he has represented such companies as Humana, Prudential, Nortel, H & R Block, State Teachers Retirement System of Ohio, LNR and the State of Florida, just to name a few.
Prior to reuniting with Colliers International in July 2000, 15 years after his affiliation with their sister firm in Philadelphia, Colliers L & A, Robert served as Senior Vice President and partner in the Newman Group. Then, in 1990, he established Equivest Properties, Inc. He was responsible for all of the company’s growth and development, including the procurement of agency assignments for office, industrial, retail, and investment property, tenant representation and training of additional salespeople. In July 2000, Robert merged his company, Equivest Properties, with Colliers International.
As Associate Vice President, Honey has in-depth experience in the South Florida marketplace with a focus on landlord and tenant representation primarily in the retail environment. She has been active in the South Florida commercial market for more than 30 years, consummating numerous sales of single and multi-tenant retail properties as well as multi-tenant office and industrial buildings. Leveraging my knowledge of the market, Honey is able to better assist her clients in defining the best strategies and solutions for both owners and tenants in the retail sector. After working extensively with clients in sourcing their desired locations, she has established relationships with national tenants that include Cricket Wireless, Dollar General, Tropical Smoothie Café, Clothes Mentor, Clutch Coffee, Northland Hearing Centers and More Space Place.
Honey is also active in the sale and acquisition of land for development and leasing of retail real estate, working with developers of properties for numerous national tenants such as Walgreens, CVS, Dollar General, TD Bank, Chevron and RaceTrac.
Prior to transitioning to brokerage, she gained an extensive background in the commercial financing industry through working in the family-owned commercial mortgage banking and development business, Robert Wilmoth & Associates in Palm Beach, Florida. During her tenure with the company, she was actively involved in all aspects of the production and closing of investment grade commercial and real estate development loans. She also served as the Portfolio manager for the $300 million pool of mortgage loans generated by the company with both life insurance companies and pension funds.
Honey is actively involved in the local arts community and serve on the Board of the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts. Her community involvement has also lead her to serve on both the Art in Public Places Board and the Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals in the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
Joining Colliers as an associate, Nelson is based in the firm’s Miami office. A recent FIU graduate, Nelson brings experience in market analysis research to his role.
With a high attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, Nelson delivers an exceptional level of service to clients. By focusing on rent and renovation data, property values and property information, he is able to provide valuation services to sellers, displaying true upside potential for their property. Nelson is also adept at identifying buyers and supplying them with essential information in order for them to understand the true value of their investment within the multifamily market.
