I am a Brokerage Associate in South Carolina specializing in the purchase and sale of hotels and hospitality properties. My responsibilities include representing owners and users in the sale and leasing of a variety of properties. Ever responsive to my clients’ needs, I assist them with their acquisition, disposition and leasing needs. I am a big believer in the power of networking and relationships, connecting my clients with opportunities inside and outside of South Carolina.
I am a member of the Colliers Zaver Hotels Team based out of the Colliers | Atlanta office and a member of the Colliers National Hospitality Group. The team specializes in franchise negotiations, financing, rebranding and marketing from startup properties as well as turn-around investments. Some of these clients include large private and public REITs, management companies, lenders and services and owners/operators of hotel properties throughout the United States.
My previous experience as a female business owner and supporter of business development gives me unique insights into the needs of owners, investors and users, helping me to translate their needs into smart commercial real estate decisions. It has also taught me the value of the boots-on-the-ground approach. I believe in knowing my market by being in it day after day. As a woman who speaks three languages, I am a believer in serving clients who have not traditionally engaged with commercial real estate or who have larger international real estate goals. I firmly believe that the Colliers global platform of services and brokerage professionals empowers me to bridge my local connections and presence with the rest of the world.
In April 2020, I completed the Certification for Hotel Industry Analytics (CHIA), a globally recognized professional credential that validates advanced knowledge in hotel industry analytics including foundational metrics, definitions, formulas and methodologies.
I have a varied professional background, with experience in medical supplies sales and banking. I have also been a business owner and manager, running a retail store and a wholesale car dealership. The demands of business gave me experience in management, planning, logistics, customer service, marketing and sales. My experience means that landlords and tenants trust that I understand their unique needs and real estate goals.
I am a graduate of Alwasfeyyeh College in Jordan, where I received a diploma in Business and Office Management. Currently, I am pursuing my CCIM designation, which will signify proven expertise in financial, market, and investment analysis, in addition to negotiation.

I am proud to serve my community, especially the business community, currently as a member of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and previously working with the St. James Chamber of Commerce in Minnesota to start a Marketplace for women-owned, home-based business. I was previously a member of the St. James Foundation, served on the board of the South-Central MN Habitat for Humanity, and am currently a board member of the Rotary Club of Lexington. I am also a member of CREW Midlands, Asian American Hotel Owners Association and the South Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association.

Helen Zaver is part of the National Hospitality Group at Colliers International and is based in the firm’s Atlanta office.
She originally joined Marcus & Millichap in early 2005 as the Hotel Specialist for the Southeastern Region and had been there until 2019. With an extensive background in ownership, management, sales and marketing of hotel properties, she is a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) as well as a Certified Hotel Owner (CHO), and understands the needs of both hotel buyers and sellers. Having over 20 years of hotel experience in the Southeast, she has achieved recognition throughout the hotel industry. Helen is experienced in Franchise Negotiations, Financing, Re-Branding, and Marketing from start-up properties as well as turn-around investments. Vik Zaver is an investment sales broker specializing in hospitality assets with a market focus of North Georgia, North Alabama, and Tennessee. He graduated from the University of
Georgia in May of 2016 with a Bachelors in Supply Chain and Operations Management. Previously, he had interned for several years at Marcus & Millichap and earned his real estate license during the summer of 2015. Vik became an agent in June 2016 within the National Hospitality Group of Marcus & Millichap. After underwriting and conducting pricing analyses on hundreds of hotels within the Southeastern United States, Vik has become more experienced in market knowledge and sales. Currently with Colliers International, the team utilizes the platform to better serve clients and their goals. Zaver Hotels has closed on more than $300 million of hotel transactions over the last few years.
Dylan Patel is an investment sales broker specializing in hospitality assets with a market focus of South Georgia, South Alabama, and North Florida with Colliers International. He graduated from the University of Georgia in December of 2016 with a BBA in Finance. Prior to graduating, he interned with Walker and Dunlop specializing in Class A multifamily investment sales. However, Dylan soon realized his passion was for the hospitality industry. After graduating, he returned to Savannah, GA to gain valuable experience in hotel management and operations by working in various positions in hotels throughout the area. He then obtained his real estate license in April 2018 and began working with Zaver Hotels as a sales intern. He has since become an expert in market knowledge and has underwritten numerous hotel assets throughout his time as an agent including full and select service, limited, and extended-stay products. Currently with Colliers International, the team utilizes the platform to better serve clients and their goals. Zaver Hotels has closed on more than $300 million of hotel transactions over the last few years.
Reese Abee joined the National Hospitality Group of Colliers International in the winter of 2019, partnering with Senior Vice President Helen Zaver and the Zaver Hotels Team based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The team specializes in investment sales of hospitality product. Reese has a market focus on the Nashville 10-county region and serves a nationwide client base. He advises investors through the complexities of real estate transactions by developing customizable service plans that result in maximized financial savings for the client. Reese joins the Colliers team after two years with Marcus & Millichap’s National Hospitality Group.
Reese’s brokerage career began during his college tenure where he interned for commercial real estate investment and consulting firm Randall Commercial Group, LLC. In 2017, Reese graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He studied business administration with concentrations in finance and business management. Committed to serving his community, Reese is an eagle scout and volunteers his spare time by working on Habitat for Humanity projects.
