Senior Vice President
Jim Morris is a Senior Vice President in Colliers International’s Capital Markets Group. He specializes in the execution of investment sales, debt origination, and structured finance assignments within a fully integrated national platform. Jim has worked in the commercial real estate arena for over twenty years and has a unique resume of experience that is rare and a differentiating factor for his clients.
Jim joined Colliers in 2015 after spending fourteen years at CBRE Nashville where he provided disposition services for retail investments. During that time, he managed the sale process of grocery anchored centers, power centers, regional malls, and unanchored strips throughout eleven states on behalf of both private and institutional investors and developers.
Jim began his career in commercial real estate in 1999 at the Nashville office of the Trammell Crow Company. He graduated from the University of Mississippi with a business degree as a marketing major and has earned the certified commercial investment member designation. Jim has lived in Nashville since 1997 and is continually recognized as a top authority in his business line.

With a reputation as a key player in self-storage investment sales, Ashley Compton has sold or listed more than 17.3 million square feet of self-storage over the course of his 17+ year brokerage career. These transactions are valued in excess of $1.57 Billion and place Ashley among top national producers. Upon joining Colliers' Nashville office in 2016, Ashley was named a National Director of self-storage investment sales. Ashley has received the Colliers' Top Producer Award and the Everest Club Award (Top 10% Producer for Colliers US) every year since joining Colliers.
While obtaining his undergraduate degree, Ashley launched his career as an acquisitions analyst for a self-storage REIT. His brokerage experience began at CBRE in 2004, where he quickly developed the firm’s Nashville-area self-storage practice and grew it into a well-known national brand. In 2014 and 2015, CBRE recognized Ashley as the firm’s highest-grossing national self-storage producer. Ashley has served diverse clients including Bank of America, GE Capital Corporation, Babcock & Brown, Westport Properties, Koch Real Estate Investments, and Amerco / U-Haul.
Before acquiring a master’s of business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Mississippi’s School of Business, Ashley earned a bachelor’s in finance and real estate from the University of Memphis.

Bert Mathews is president of The Mathews Company, a leading commercial real estate development company in Nashville, TN, and is a partner with the brokerage firm Colliers International Nashville. Bert has been a leading force in the Nashville area’s vibrant commercial real estate industry and active in the city’s civic and nonprofit communities, playing key leadership roles in efforts to move Nashville forward for more than four decades.
As the third-generation leader of The Mathews Company, Bert is carrying on the family tradition of community leadership and corporate success started by his grandfather Robert C.H. Bert is a national leader of the Urban Land Institute, recently serving in the highest level of leadership as Global Trustee, advising on land use practices worldwide. He also serves as Chairman of the Board of ThinkTennessee, a nonpartisan nonprofit research and advocacy think tank whose purpose is to create civic and economic opportunity in Tennessee. He has won numerous awards for commercial real estate development in Nashville, including the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Nashville Business Journal. He has served as Board Chair for the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Metro Transit Authority and the Nashville District Management Corporation; was Vice Chairman of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, and has served on the boards of numerous organizations, including the University of North Carolina’s General Alumni Association and its Board of Visitors

Lance joined the Colliers International | Nashville team in 2017 after 4 years with CBRE. He previously served as Director of Sales and Leasing for C.B. Ragland Company.

After graduating from Sewanee, I started as a Business Development Coordinator for Capacity Commercial Group, a commercial and industrial real estate brokerage firm, a Sales Associate at Masterplans, a business plan writing firm, and as the Varsity Boys Head Lacrosse Coach at Riverdale High School in Portland, OR. After a year, I became an Associate Broker at Capacity Commercial Group working in the office tenant rep. realm.

A Central Business District specialist, Vickie Saito has more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience in the urban core of downtown Nashville and surrounding neighborhoods. Active in all areas of brokerage, she has served as the exclusive leasing and sales representative for numerous investment properties and historic redevelopments in the core commercial district. In addition to land assemblages, she has provided exclusive tenant representation for local and national retail, hospitality, and office tenants. As a consultant, she has participated in various urban development projects, including the Site Consulting Team for the US Federal Courthouse, the MTA Central Station Site Development Team, and the Nashville Chamber Music City Center Site Committee.
As a licensed commercial broker in Tennessee since 1987, Vickie specializes in the greater downtown and urban submarkets. Vickie graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelors degree in Psychology and study in clinical counseling. After obtaining her Idaho broker’s license, she was a partner in White Cloud Properties in Sun Valley, Idaho, prior to her move to Tennessee. Led by an interest in urban environments and historic preservation, Vickie began her Tennessee real estate career marketing investment and historic buildings in the heart of downtown Nashville. She continues to focus on creative, adaptive reuse of such facilities.

Patrick Inglis leads the Office and Multifamily Capital Markets practice in Nashville, and specializes in investment property dispositions, development advisory, and equity assignments. Previously, Patrick spent 12 years at JLL where he was involved in sale transactions totaling over $3.8 billion in gross proceeds. Patrick most recently co-led the Los Angeles Multifamily Capital Markets practice of JLL, after spending the initial 10 years of his JLL tenure focused on office sales and recapitalization assignments in Los Angeles and other select national markets.
Prior to joining JLL, Patrick was a Senior Supervising Auditor in Ernst & Young’s Real Estate Practice Group, where he specialized in the audit of various domestic and international real estate companies including Westfield America, Inc., Lowe Enterprises, D.R. Horton and Arden Realty Inc., among others.
Taylor Irwin co-manages the Tennessee-based Colliers' Multifamily Advisory Group. Taylor joined Colliers in summer 2018 to partner with John Ashley. Taylor previously led community development and was a key fundraiser for New Hope Academy, a private school in Franklin that reserves 50% of its seats for low-income scholarship students. Prior to joining New Hope, Taylor worked for 7 years as an investment advisor - he worked with many of his firm's high-net-worth and real estate-adjacent clients, aiding in the analysis of financials and market data to determine acquisition or disposition valuations for commercial/multifamily assets.
A lifelong Nashville native and a graduate of Sewanee: The University of the South, Taylor has served on the board of Williamson County CASA since 2014 and acted for 3 years as treasurer of Next Gen | The Heritage Foundation. He remains engaged with New Hope Academy, where he now leads the student mentoring program in a volunteer capacity. Taylor is also a former collegiate baseball player and golfer and continues to enjoy competitive golf in his spare time.
Reese Abee joined the National Hospitality Group of Colliers International in the winter of 2019, partnering with Senior Vice President Helen Zaver and the Zaver Hotels Team based out of Atlanta, Georgia. The team specializes in investment sales of hospitality product. Reese has a market focus on the Nashville 10-county region and serves a nationwide client base. He advises investors through the complexities of real estate transactions by developing customizable service plans that result in maximized financial savings for the client. Reese joins the Colliers team after two years with Marcus & Millichap’s National Hospitality Group.
Reese’s brokerage career began during his college tenure where he interned for commercial real estate investment and consulting firm Randall Commercial Group, LLC. In 2017, Reese graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree. He studied business administration with concentrations in finance and business management. Committed to serving his community, Reese is an eagle scout and volunteers his spare time by working on Habitat for Humanity projects.
