Our team
As President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Colliers International | Atlanta, Holly Hughes is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Atlanta office. She works collaboratively with the Chairman/CEO and all the key leaders inside the Atlanta office to ensure the highest quality of client services and execution of local, regional and business line operations. In her role, Holly serves as an example of servant leadership - embracing change and setting examples for the organization. She develops and oversees the implementation of programs and infrastructure that increases the potential for adding value, strengthening client relationships and growing existing business.
In her current role as President and COO of Colliers International Atlanta, Holly seeks to best meet her clients' evolving needs by bringing more innovation to help solve their problems. She has her eyes firmly set on future goals to continue to build and leverage upon the amazing culture and work environment at Colliers, make certain that business lines are supported with resources, technology, innovation, expertise and other support to allow the team to serve clients in a superior manner, and finally, to recruit top talent that adds to the client service offering while enhancing culture.
Holly joined Colliers International as CEO of Colliers International Real Estate Management Services Atlanta and Colliers Facility Solutions in February of 2014. She led a team of professionals dedicated to safeguarding Colliers client’s investments and prolonging the life of the assets for the properties that they manage. She says that a simple philosophy guides everyone on her teams: they treat each property like it is their own. That way they do more to solve their clients’ problems, more to develop tailored solutions to meet their client's goals and provide more personal attention that gives their clients peace of mind.
Holly’s real estate career started at Carter, an Atlanta real estate investment and development firm, where she excelled in several leadership roles. As Executive Vice President she oversaw all facets of their 25 million square foot real estate portfolio. As chief administrative officer she was responsible for finance, accounting, IT, HR, marketing, infrastructure and running and supporting business strategy.
Kelly began his career in hospitality, working in every area in full-service hotels on his way to General Manager. Serving hospitality clients in both corporate and leisure markets helped shape Kelly’s service philosophies which have been applauded by his teams and clients. His experience in the hospitality business, with a tendency for attention to detail and spirit of service, was a natural segue into facility management. He previously held positions as General Manager for Carter Real Estate, Senior Facilities Manager with Cassidy Turley, and Director of Facilities with Colliers.
Currently, Kelly is focused on serving Colliers facility clients, including Fortune 100 and 500 corporations, regional businesses, non-profit organizations, and higher education institutions. Currently, he leads a team of dedicated associates who support corporate headquarters, childcare centers, R&D facilities, call centers, data centers, warehouses, recreational and aviation facilities for Colliers clients throughout the United States. Kelly’s extended team consists of 165 highly motivated associates whose primary focus is to provide O&M support and integrated services. Kelly and his teams serve their clients with IFM solutions including executive reception services, conference center management, call center operations, lease administration, space planning/design, move management, shipping/receiving, mail room services, managed print services, project management, and oversight of food service operations. Kelly provides support for business development strategies, transition/implementation of new assignments and corporate resources for associates on varying client assignments. Kelly also serves as the National Account Leader for a 140-million-square-foot portfolio in which Colliers provides mobile maintenance services in 21 markets across the United States.
Erika Heller is a senior vice president with Colliers International - Atlanta and is responsible for the oversight of Colliers Atlanta’s 30 million square feet of industrial product under management. Erika joined Colliers International in 2004 and has 16 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry with a focus on industrial property management.
Prior to joining Colliers, Erika spent five years in the management department of ProLogis and four years with a local Atlanta development and third-party management firm overseeing their accounting and management services for a variety of institutional clients.
Since 2006, Ms. Heller has served as a Board Member of the Gwinnett Village Community Improvement District (CID) which serves southern Gwinnett County and is the largest CID in the state of Georgia.
Alberta is a member of Colliers’ Property Management department. Alberta is known for her dedication to excellence and commitment to her clients’ success. She specializes in retail portfolio oversight and management on behalf of owners and investors, including institutions, private equity funds, TICS and also lenders and special servicers in managing REO assets.
Alberta joined Colliers International in 2004 after graduating from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science degree. Ms. Waller has over 10 years of experience in the commercial management industry and currently oversees a retail portfolio, consisting of 4 million square feet throughout the Southeast.
I work in the Washington, DC office and focus on providing strategic, reliable building operations across the national REMS portfolio. Together with a team of regional engineering leaders, I ensure that client assets run efficiently to support the mission of occupant comfort and increased asset value. We achieve our missions by concentrating efforts on calculated national vendor relationships, improved energy efficiency measures, informed budget planning, and high-quality engineering services.
Much of my time is spent developing national best practices, determining resourceful technologies, and building client relationships. I also support REMS clients with capital project planning, environmental health and safety, due diligence, and code regulation compliance.
Before joining Colliers in 2011, I oversaw the Mid-Atlantic Grubb & Ellis’ commercial office portfolio as the Regional Engineering Manager. I began my career in commercial real estate with McShea Management working as a Chief Engineer more than 16 years ago and have had the opportunity to work with clients such as ING, TIAA-CREF, Morgan Stanley, Real Estate Capital Partners and Invesco.
With over 10 years of commercial real estate engineering experience, Bruce has a groundup understanding of the industry. Prior to joining Colliers, Bruce was with Tishman Speyer Properties where he effectively managed a team of engineers to whom he provided mentoring, on-the-job training and continuing education. Bruce possesses a strong background in all aspects of maintenance repairs including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical and plumbing. Bruce has also worked for Childress Klein Properties, Inc. and CarrAmerica Real Estate Services.
Bruce recently joined Colliers Atlanta as a Senior Chief Engineer and will provide technical direction and oversight of building operation and efficiency on a local level. He is responsible for implementing company best practices and policies to improve engineering service offerings. His duties include:
- Research and application of energy saving methods to maximize building efficiency
- Development of staffing best practices and strategic partnerships
- Oversight of capital project planning and execution
- Leadership for portfolio budgets, ensuring accurate and timely completion
- Validation of compliance with current OSHA training requirements
- Development and implementation of engineering best practices
As the Property Services Manager supporting property and facility management teams, I have been instrumental in building our computerized maintenance management system (ColliersPRO, powered by Building Engines) to aid our management and engineering teams in improving efficiency, service delivery and communication and maintaining equipment and assets.
I also manage other key components that support daily operations for our Mobile Maintenance and Engineering Team for Colliers International Management – Atlanta and for Colliers Facility Solutions:
