Chief Executive Officer | Netherlands
My area of expertise lies in fields such as multi country assigments, strategic marketing, International Business Development, International Private Public Initiatives, hospitality consultancy and corporate finance assignments. My clarity in vision and strategy, leads to tangible results. My focus has been predominantly been on cross border assigments, where I leveraged my extensive entrepreneurial expertise in Europe, the Middle East, India, Brazil and Russia. I have over 30 years experience in hotel operational consulting, initially with a focus on database management & customer loyalty programs as wel as hotel reservation systems in the global market. I have also spent several years in hotel development and real estate financing related areas, where I combined my expertise as hotel operations specialist in my role since late 2009 as Director Hotels for Colliers in the Netherlands as well as Head Of EMEA Hotels for Colliers. Since September 1, 2017 I am Chief Executive officer for Colliers in the Netherlands leading a team of some 300 plus professionals and 4 offices. I am a leader with a clear vision and a large drive to achieve goals.
Head of Investment, Valuation & Advisory Services
Klara joined Colliers in March 2014 as a Junior Analyst in the Investment and Valuation Advisory Services department with a focus on market research and valuations of commercial and residential properties across Croatia, Slovenia and Bosnia and Hercegovina. She has extensive valuation and advisory experience across all property types including office, retail, hotels, residential, logistics, land etc. Since June 2017 Klara is also involved in Capital markets team which provides sell side or buy side representation.
Prior to joining Colliers and during her studies Klara worked in tourism industry; 3 years at the Zagreb Tourist Board and several summer seasons at ATLAS destination management company in Dubrovnik. Klara conducted her studies in Zagreb and Leipzig and holds a Master of Business Administration degree with emphasis in Finance and Banking from Zagreb School of Economics and Management. Klara also holds Bachelor's degree in Economics from Zagreb School of Economics and Management and Bachelor's degree in Tourism Management from University of applied sciences VERN. Klara is a licenced real estate agent, RICS Chartered Surveyor and RICS Registered Valuer.

Emil is Head of the Valuation & Advisory team in Copenhagen and has vast experience with the investment requirements of international clients as well as major Danish pension funds. Areas of expertise include preparing detailed market analyses and valuations and sale of commercial and investment properties as well as advising clients on strategic investment decisions.

I am Associate Director and founding member of the Colliers International France Valuation Department. I have over 15 years experience in the real estate industry having worked in Australia, France and China.

I have experience of developing large scale commercial, mixed use and resort projects in Georgia. We have closely worked with international consultants and master-planners to develop overall close to 5 millions square meters of land area and circa 1.5 million square meters of development volume.
I am also experienced in investor search and fund raising negotiations, in last 10 years we have raised and negotiated more than US$500 million for the projects in Georgia from Institutional Investors and IFI’s such are Citi, EBRD, IFC and private real estate funds operating from New York, London and Moscow.

Head of Hotels & Leisure | Italy
Responsible for advisory and transactional services for the Hotels & Leisure department in Italy, he helps investors in improving the performance of their hotels portfolio and searching (and creating) new hospitality opportunities.
In his previous roles in Italy, he was the Country Director for Luxury Hotel Partners Ltd, a company specialised in luxury hotel consulting and earlier Senior Hospitality Consultant for Advisor Hotels & Tourism working with a number of high profile, international luxury hotel companies and independent properties. In Dubai, as Group Development Director for the hospitality division of Zabeel Investments, he was in charge of expanding the group’s portfolio.
A graduate of the Glion Hotel School in Switzerland, Marco has worked operationally at a number of international properties including the Boca Raton Resort and Club in the US and Hotel Saratz in Switzerland.

Christopher Lund oversees the Hotels consultancy division of Colliers International in the Middle East and North Africa. Over the past 8 years, the Hotels team has worked on more than 700 projects in the region, providing advisory services to hotel developers, investors, operators, governments, law firms and banks. Christopher specialises in development consultancy and strategic asset management, ranging from standalone hotels to large-scale destinations, as well as hotel company strategies, condo-hotel investment models and negotiating complex hotel management agreements. His operational and asset management experience allows him to have a 360-degree view and hands-on approach when providing actionable advice to enhance hotel profitability.

I am the founder in 2002 of MD Hotel Investments, a succesfull niche hotel corporate finance advisory based in Amsterdam and the co-founder of European Hotel Capital, a private equity international hotel fund. Since June 2013 I joined Colliers in Amsterdam as Director Hotels and specialised in hotel developement advisory, operator search and hotel financing.
Curently I am Head of Hotels Benelux, Member of the Board of Colliers Netherlands and Direcor Alternative Real Estate.

As Director Transactions at Colliers International Hotels I am based in Amsterdam. I lead the team of professionals responsible for hotel investment advisory services in the Benelux and cross-border in the EMEA region.
Before rejoining Colliers in september 2018, I succesully founded and managed Eminent Real Estate (a boutique real estate family office) from October 2013 untill September 2018. Before founding Eminent Real Estate I was Director of Capital Markets at Colliers managing the Dutch investment services team out of the Amsterdam HQ. Previously I was the Managing Partner of the Eindhoven office.
Before joining RSP/Van Boxtel & Partners Makelaars / Colliers in 2003, I worked as a senior real estate agent/valuer at Clercx Liebau Bedrijfshuisvesting and Van Boxtel & Partners Makelaars, which came after the start of my career in 1995 as a junior real estate agent at Van Engelen Bedrijfsmakelaars in Eindhoven.
Valuation & Consulting | Director
Raul is Director of Valuations & Consulting at Collier Spain.
He has more than 20 years of experience in the real estate sector, taking part in the valuation of extensive portfolios as well as individual assets for different purposes, including accounting and financing.
Raul has a long experience in real estate valuations, both from the advisory side and from the banking side. From 2006 to 2014 Raul worked at Eurohypo, being involved in the financing of commercial property and real estate companies.
Prior to join Colliers, Raul worked as associate director at Catella.
Laura Hernando is Managing Director of the Hotels Department at Colliers International Spain. She was partner of irea from January 2017, when she was appointed to partner after more than ten years of professional career at the firm, until March 2018 when irea joined Colliers International. She specialises in advising on hotel sales, as well as on the sale and purchase of debt portfolios secured by hotel assets and company sales. She also has experience in structuring financing for the acquisition and development of hotels, in financial restructuring for hotel and real estate groups and in strategic consultancy for companies with interests invested in the hotel sector, including the negotiation of management contracts with hotel chains.
She began her career as an analyst in the mergers and acquisitions department at Atlas Capital Close Brothers. Laura joined the irea Hotels division in 2005.
Miguel is Managing Partner of Hotels Department at Colliers International Spain. He was a founding partner of irea and Director of the Hotel Division until March 2018, when irea joined Colliers International. He is held in high regard in the hotel sector thanks to his specialist knowledge and in-depth financial approach. He focuses on offering advice to investment funds, hotel chains and hotel owners.

I have even been an owner of my own hotel which I sold at the beginning of 2007.

Over a career that spans more than 28 years Ben has developed his expertise within the sector working in a variety of management roles in a diverse range of hotel properties and brands both in the UK and overseas.
At the start of his career, post-graduation and after a number of years as a Graduate Trainee for Commonwealth Hotels of Canada, Ben quickly advanced into General Manager roles and subsequently became Regional Director.

I am a Director in the UK Hotels department based in London and Manchester. As Head of the Hotels Valuation team I regularly present to property professionals and operators on matters affecting the hotel industry and provide valuation and other advice for a variety of purposes.

Michael graduated from the Shannon College of Hotel Management, Ireland in 1982. He spent a number of years gaining experience in Switzerland, Germany and UK until he joined the development division of Toby Restaurants (BASS PLC) in 1984. He spent five years there as Area Manager responsible for the development and operation of new concept units in London and the home counties.
In 1989, Michael joined the London office of Horwath Consulting and quickly became responsible for pioneering the company’s work in Central and Eastern Europe and the CIS countries, gaining extensive experience in undertaking feasibility and strategic work for new hotel, real estate and leisure developments and the privatisation of state-owned hotels and tourism assets.
In 1994, the company re-branded as BDO Hospitality Consulting with Michael being promoted to associate director progressing to the role of director in 1996, continuing his responsibility for Central and Eastern Europe whilst also working on assignments in the UK, Middle East, Brazil and most importantly in Germany, where he was responsible for and an executive director of the firm’s joint venture with BDO GmbH, namely BDO Hospitality Consulting GmbH.
In January 1998, Michael and his fellow executive directors lead a management buy-out from BDO rebranding to TRI Hospitality Consulting in October 1999. Michael played a key role in helping the company establish a solid reputation as one of the leading firms of consultants in the sector and was primary responsible for generating fees for the company and directing assignments in Germany, Russia, CIS and Central Europe. At the beginning of 2001, Michael joined HVS International as director responsible for the development of new business opportunities for the company.
Michael has more than 25 years of experience in the international hotel sector and has specialised in Central and Eastern Europe and Russia/CIS since 1989 and is considered to be the leading expert in this region. In recognition of his knowledge of the region, Michael has moderated key discussion panels dedicated to hotel development in Russia and CIS countries at the International Hotel Investment Forum, Berlin, March 2008-15, Russia CIS Hotel Investment Forum, Moscow, October 2007-15, ProEstate Conference, St Petersburg, Russia, September 2007-10, GRI Conference, London, April 2007, the International Hotel Investment Conference, Rome, October 2006-09, Adam Smith Real Estate Conference, Moscow, May 2005-07, International Hotel Investment Conference, Monte Carlo, September 2005 and ProfitHotel, Warsaw, October 2005.
Michael then joined Horwath HTL in May 2002 as founding partner and managing director for Horwath HTL Hungary and Russia responsible for all assignments in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and CIS. He has also been involved in projects throughout the world including Western Europe, Middle East and Latin America. Michael had been a member of the worldwide Horwath HTL committee for almost a decade.
During the last decade, Michael has been involved in hotel projects in over 40 different cities in Russia and CIS and has been successful in attracting international interest in the realisation of single asset and portfolio hotel projects. Horwath HTL Russia is considered to be market leaders in hospitality consulting in Russia. He has dealt with a broad range of clients from high net worth individuals to large international corporates.
Since early 2016, Michael has been operating as an independent consultant based out of London before joining Colliers International Hotel and Resorts team in London as a director in July 2017.

I originally trained with a long established firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Manchester and have been working in the licensed, leisure and hotel property market since 1987. I joined Colliers in 2007 to head up our UK Corporate hotel operation. I was appointed Head of UK Hotel Agency during 2011. Since the beginning of 2003 I have sold or acquired over 100 provincial hotels on behalf of clients of asking prices ranging from £1.2m to in excess of £20m. In addition to the managerial responsibilities, I remain focused on handling larger private and corporate hotel transactions throughout the UK.
