What the hospitality sector can teach the hybrid office

CRE report website harold coenders hero

The new key function of the office is clear. We go to the office for what we lack at home: personal contact with colleagues. This is both a social and business need. We want to see the most personally meaningful people at work, usually our direct team members. The team is the platform on which trust is best organised, and it forms the basis of the post-pandemic office.

The office will change, but co-working offices and business travel will change even more radically. The new hybrid world will be dominated by distributed teams and will seek flexible solutions that connect people to the company culture and organisation.

In our ‘CRE - Our industry today, tomorrow & beyond’ report we look at how offices need to take some tips from hotels on how to become great spaces - while hotels can learn how to cater to workers.
