Santander UK appoints Colliers to manage property disposal programme

Santander has appointed Colliers to oversee its property consolidation programme, following the bank’s announcement that the retail and commercial bank is to reduce the number of branches and offices across its UK portfolio. 

Nick Roberts, Head of Property for Santander UK, said: “We look forward to working with Colliers on our property consolidation programme, to maximise the potential of our UK portfolio.”

The announcement coincides with Colliers’ appointment as strategic property advisor to Santander for its UK retail and office portfolio.

Andrew Hallissey, Executive Managing Director, Occupier Services EMEA at Colliers, adds: “We understand the importance of this strategic initiative for Santander. Our team of office and retail specialists nationally will work closely with Santander to develop creative property strategies for all impacted assets, supporting the long-term health and success of the high street.”
