Regional trends and report highlights for Asia Pacific:

  • Australia and New Zealand saw renewed investor optimism and business confidence, particularly in the office markets, as key cities emerge from prolonged restrictions.

  • Hong Kong registered a 20% QOQ growth in transaction volumes, as economic rebound helped boost investor appetite.

  • Investment activity in China picked up, with more than 20 transactions totalling approx. RMB27.2 billion (USD4.2 billion) closed across asset classes in major Chinese markets.

  • Singapore's retail sector led investment activity in Q3, with total transactions worth SGD7.5 billion (USD5.5 billion) registered.

  • Korea's office market saw an active quarter, driven by soaring investment demand for office space in Seoul.

John is the Executive Director, Head of International Capital across Asia Pacific for the Capital Markets & Investment Services business at Colliers. In this role, he is responsible for growing cross border investment activity from Asia Pacific in collaboration with the global capital markets teams. He leads international client relationship development and provides real estate investment and divestment advice, including origination and completion of investment transactions with global capital sources.


Prior to Colliers, John led Jones Lang LaSalle’s International Investment team in Japan, focusing on cross-border investment and structuring advice for direct real estate transactions and equity raises. John had previously worked as a real estate, hospitality and M&A advisor for a global consultancy in Tokyo and New York, as well as at a US-based developer.

Our national Investment Services business represents market specializations including Capital Markets and Investment Sales. The two clear divisions servicing the Australian commercial office market ensures complete market coverage, efficiency and premium experiences and successes for our clients.
