The Challenge

Colliers was appointed by the acquirer to procure Hongqiao Sanxiang Plaza in Shanghai’s Hongqiao Business District.

As the acquirer was looking to buy part of the area for hotels, part of the area for office, and retail as well as for self-use, Colliers had to provide detailed investment consulting services during the acquisition process.

The project was located in the heart of Shanghai Hongqiao business district, and was a new vacant building, surrounded by lots of competitive office buildings. Potential acquirers as well as occupiers had a variety of choices, which could bring rental risk to this project.

The Strategy

With in-depth understanding of what the acquirer was looking for, Colliers got down to being very familiar with Hongqiao Business District.
