Colliers appoints new Managing Director of Hong Kong business

Industry veteran CK Lau appointed to accelerate growth of Colliers in Hong Kong.

HONG KONG, 24 January 2022 – 
Leading diversified professional services and investment management company Colliers (NASDAQ and TSX: CIGI) today announced the appointment of CK Lau as Managing Director | Hong Kong, effective immediately.

Reporting to Sam Harvey-Jones, Chief Operating Officer | Asia Pacific, Lau will be responsible for leading the growth of Colliers’ business in Hong Kong.

Lau joined Colliers in 2019 as Managing Director of the Asia Valuation & Advisory Services business and has spearheaded the growth of Valuation & Advisory Services, working closely with leaders across the region to deliver value to Colliers’ clients. In his new capacity, Lau will continue to head the Asia Valuation & Advisory Services business.

With over 30 years of industry experience in valuation, real estate consultancy and investment sales across Asia, Lau is a highly respected leader in the property market. His expertise includes development consultancy; government lease modification application and premium negotiations; investment and development site sales; litigation valuation advice; portfolio valuations; REIT property advice; rental determination; and valuation due diligence services.

Lau is a past president of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS). He is currently Chairman of the Land Policy Panel of the HKIS and a member of the General Practice Divisional Council of HKIS. He is also a member of Tangible Assets Standards Board of the International Valuation Standards Council.
