Strategy
- Colliers came up with a creative solution to adapt to prevailing COVID-19 travel and gathering restrictions by conducting online virtual tours of building options to facilitate the client team's review and shortlist of suitable building options.
- Controlled process with the international team produced clear project requirements prior to engaging the local team to inspect the options.
- Leveraging on supply chain and market trends of fitted options, Colliers negotiated a deferment of reinstatement with the previous landlord.
Challenges
- Assignment started at the beginning of COVID-19, which prolonged client’s headcount forecast and also led to uncertainty in the impact of remote working / work-from-home arrangements, which was new to everyone. These uncertainties made real estate office relocation decisions difficult.
- 2 business entities which were newly merged had their respective preferences for the new office.
