Leading the Office Services team at Colliers, June Chua, Executive Director’s main focus is to drive tenant and landlord space requirements in office leasing.
How long have you been in the real estate industry, and how did you come to join Colliers?
I have 30 years of commercial leasing experience in the Singapore market. Colliers has won many large tenant representation assignments in the last 12-18 months, some of which were opportunities that I was also chasing up in my previous employment, so you can imagine my reaction when I learnt that Colliers had won the pitches in previous bid assignments! I told myself that they must be doing something right, and I had to be part of it... So here I am!
"On a more serious note, I like the fact that I have joined a growing team, an organisation that is very committed to growing our market share, and the opportunity to make a difference as we continue on the growth path."
Colliers was my first employer for ten years upon my graduation from school. It was a much smaller company back then, very local. Colliers has undoubtedly grown to be a truly international commercial real estate firm since then. I’m really delighted to be back again in my role as part of the Occupier Services team at Colliers!
Tell us about your current role with Colliers. What do you find most fulfilling about it?
I’m heading up the Office Services team. Our role is to work with corporate tenants and advise them on their real estate needs, providing our expert advice on property strategy and planning, and helping them achieve a cost-effective solution for their projects and accelerate their success.
We are client-centric, and the biggest joy is helping them secure the optimal real estate for their business needs.
"I’m so thankful to be working with a team of great people, the colleagues are big on collaboration, and they are the reason why anyone would love to come to the office every day."
What is the biggest piece of advice you would like to give your clients?
We are always on the lookout for windows of opportunities for our clients. Now is the time for them to leverage the office market cycle and lock in their lease as terms are favourable, allowing them to save some real estate costs over the long-term.
