In H1 2019 completions of high-quality retail space in the Moscow region (Moscow and its satellite cities) amounted to 105,000 sq m, which is 6.6% higher than in previous year, but 41% lower than the average for the last 10 years. One project accounted for all new quality shopping centre space in H1 2019 SAC Salaris (GLA 105,000 sq m).
The most significant projects of 2019 are the Dream Island amusement park (GLA 190,000 sq m) by Regions group, planned for opening in Q4 2019 and SEC Salaris (GLA 105,000 sq m) by Horus Group, already opened in Q2.
In 2019 we expect introduction of 14 new retail projects with a total GLA of 540,000 sq m (including the retail part of the Dream Island amusement park with a GLA of 120,000). If the opening dates are met, it will be the highest number in the last 4 years.
