Victoria Supermarket Chain to Open New Concept Store in Q2 2015 in Moscow Suburb

The Russian supermarket chain Victoria has leased premises for a store at the Vykhodnoy retail and entertainment centre now under construction in Moscow suburb Lyubertsy. The supermarket will open in Q2 2015 with Victoria’s new concept, which entails an extensive assortment of the chain’s own brand products. The store will occupy 3500 sqm at the shopping centre. The international consultancy Colliers International acted as the exclusive leasing agent for the deal.
The Vykhodnoy shopping centre (GBA – 60,000 sqm, GLA 27,000 sqm) is the first full-scale professional mall situated in close proximity to the centre of Lyubertsy on the ‘evening’ side of Oktyabrsky Prospekt – the city’s main transport arterial with high volumes of both automotive and pedestrian traffic. Furthermore, in late 2013 two metro stations opened in the city: Lermontovsky Prospekt and Zhulebino.

In addition to the food supermarket, the four-storey complex will include a home appliances and consumer electronics store (M.Video), perfumery and cosmetics store (L'etoile) and a multiplex Wiki Cinema (2800 sqm). The shopping centre will also have an entertainment zone with restaurants, cafes and a food court with such popular operators as McDonalds and KFC, as well as aboveground and underground parking for 700 cars. A key conceptual element of the centre is its fashion gallery (16,000 sqm), which will become home to shops of leading Russian and international brands. At present negotiations are in progress on the lease of premises for major children’s and sporting goods stores.

The opening of the Vykhodnoy shopping centre is scheduled for Q2 2015. The project is being developed by the international investment company Brack Capital Real Estate (BCRE), whose portfolio includes the Dmitrovsky shopping centre in Dmitrov (GBA – 17,525 sqm), a Class A warehouse complex in Lobnya and Russia’s first technopolis – Novaya Tura, which is being developed together with the government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Igor Belogorodsky, Financial Director, Brack Capital Real Estate: “The Vykhodnoy shopping centre is our second retail real estate project and the largest property in our portfolio in the Moscow region. We are anxiously awaiting the opening of this flagship project, which is scheduled for beginning of the second quarter of 2015. We are confident that thanks to the well-designed architectural concept and balanced tenant pool the residents of Lyubertsy will be spending not only their Saturdays and Sundays at the mall but all the other days of the week as well.”

Anna Nikandrova, Regional Director, Head of Retail Agency Department, Colliers International Russia: “We are very pleased that at the Vykhodnoy mall the food supermarket Victoria will present its new concept, which will help not only generate a consistently high volume of visitors but also draw in additional consumer flows, which is certain to have a positive impact on all tenants. A number of Russian and international brands have confirmed their participation in the project, so we have no doubt about the high demand for the Vykhodnoy centre and its future popularity of among the residents of Lyubertsy.”
