Colliers International brings key market players together for 2nd annual roundtable Warehouse Real Estate of Russia

Colliers International will be holding its 2nd annual roundtable Warehouse Real Estate of Russia 2014 on November 12 in Moscow (Four Seasons hotel). The event will be attended by key market players – Russian and international investors, banks, major warehouse developers, heads of large retail chains, and logistics operators, with approximately 350 participants expected.
The program for this year’s forum includes discussions of some of the most important and pressing issues for the market. In his opening remarks, Nikolay Kazanskiy, Managing Partner of Colliers International Russia, will speak about the latest trends and prospects for the sector given the new economic environment.

The first session “Warehouses in Russia: What Will the Coming Year Bring?” will be opened by Vladislav Ryabov, Partner of Colliers International Russia, who will present the preliminary results of the year and summary forecasts for the warehouse market development in 2015. Market experts will also discuss how macroeconomic factors have influenced the warehouse business and how demand is changing for quality warehouse facilities in Russia. Will there be sufficient demand for speculative warehouse complexes in Moscow and the regions?

The main topic of the second session will be “Reasonable Economizing in Warehouse Construction and Operation”. During the discussion the participants will focus on such issues as lease rate dynamics, criteria for the success of warehouse properties, and how to optimize on expenses in the construction and operation of warehouses. Developers and tenants will also discuss case studies of several of the most successful properties in Moscow and the regions.

The British investment fund Raven Russia, the largest investor and developer in the warehouse segment in Russia, is acting as the general partner of the Colliers International roundtable. The publishing house Kommersant is co-organizer of the event for the second consecutive year.
