The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has appointed Colliers Romania as LEED® Proven Provider™, a recognition for experienced organizations that demonstrate successful and consistent performance in the LEED Project Administrator role in LEED Online by submitting documentation that is high quality and free of errors.
As a recognition for Colliers’ Romania efforts since 2015 as LEED® Proven Provider™, GBCI Europe has awarded Colliers Romania with the LEED® Proven Provider™ Plaque during the ceremony that took place at the GBCI Europe Circle 2022, organized between 4-6 May in Munich, the largest sustainability excellence and green building leadership event in Europe, designed to provide networking opportunities and educational sessions for Europe's LEED consultants, property owners and investors. Only 21 organizations have earned this distinction until now in Europe and benefits from an enhanced certification experience with streamlined reviews.
A key indicator for the performance of Colliers' Green Certifications team is also the fact that it has provided consulting services for 75% of the 0.42 million square meters of new LEED-certified space in 2021 in the country. The new certified area places Romania 6th in the top countries in Europe for LEED in 2021 by area, after Spain (1.50 million sqm), Italy (1.17), Germany (0.87), Turkey (0.78) and Austria (0.45).
In over 10 years of activity in the Green and Healthy Buildings Certifications segment, Colliers, the only real estate consulting company with a dedicated team of LEED, BREEAM and WELL specialists, has provided consultancy for certification under these standards for more than 130 projects, totaling approximately 3.2 million square meters, of which 100 coordinated projects have been completed and another 30 projects are in the process of certification.
Colliers has been an active member of the USGBC since 2008, part of the leading coalition of leaders working to transform the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated. The LEED Proven Provider model was created to recognize organizations with a sustained track record of high-quality project submissions.
Colliers deepens its commitment to drive positive global impact with “Elevate the Built Environment”, its new strategic framework designed to embed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) best practices across the organization, launched in 2021.
