Throughout his career, Victor Cosconel has gained extensive experience in sales, management and business development in several leadership positions in multinational companies such as Sodexo, Vodafone and McDonald's, where he managed the adoption of new technologies in the current business and ensured that strategy, goals and objectives were achieved. At the same time, he has developed top management leadership skills, with expertise in a multidisciplinary approach of the overseen projects, in order to achieve an end result at the highest standards of quality, time and cost.
"People are the essence of any business. That's why at Colliers we're always looking for passionate and determined leaders who bring a fresh breath of air and can contribute to the future development of the company and the market as a whole. In his career, Victor has stood out for his ability to create and manage successful teams and his experience in building relationships - with clients, colleagues and management -, along with his passion will contribute to the growth of the whole organization", says Laurențiu Lazar, Managing Partner Colliers Romania.
In the past five years, Victor Cosconel has been CEO of Sodexo Bulgaria, where his role has been to develop a strong management team, and this year the company is recording its best financial results since it was founded. At Colliers, his mission is to take management to a new level through innovative thinking and a fresh approach to the local logistics and industrial market, which he sees as both a great challenge and opportunity.
"If we look at the development potential of road, rail and maritime infrastructure, coupled with mobile data speed and penetration, online sales growth and Romania's population compared to countries in the region, we have all the ingredients for sustainable growth in the industrial and logistics market for many years to come. I strongly believe in the concept of <<lifelong learning>> and I wanted a completely new role, with a job much closer to entrepreneurship, with autonomy and opportunities to create and change things around. The challenge of a new adventure, in a completely new industry, attracted me and led me to take this step with Colliers. Looking forward, I am eager to put plans in motion in the industrial segment together with the ambitious and persevering team that has all the capabilities and resources for growth and innovation.
As a second step, the opportunity to add office leasing to the business comes as a natural extension, as it is an area closer to where I have operated in the past due to the interactions with the corporate world we have been part of. Beyond the newly created synergies, this approach will help us provide a harmonized and unified service to our partners, a complete approach to office, industrial and logistics space, tailored down to the last detail to suit companies' needs and strategic plans. ", says Victor Cosconel, the new Head of Leasing, Office & Industrial Agencies.
